I was mulling over what @Pissmaster said about Dick and Mint and half plus seven. I've been out of the game since 19 wasn't so unreasonable, so I didn't really have my finger on just what it signified. But now I realize their age gap is the same as between me and my niece, and holy shitballs Dax.
On forums like these, I like to compare people's ages to game consoles, since everyone tends to have fond memories of certain points in time when they played a game with a beloved friend or relative. It helps really bring to life just how young someone is, by helping bring up your own memories from when that console was new and exciting, or when you played a certain game on it, to get you to remember where you were at a time when that person was just being born.
If Mint Salad was born in 2000, that means she was born the same year the PlayStation 2 came out. Four years after the DVD standard was finalized. She likely never watched a single movie on VHS, and is easily young enough to have childhood memories of YouTube videos. I am a little curious. I'm listening to TDS where Josh and Ralph goes on and Ralph keeps hitting Josh with all these different comments about how Josh is allegedly a child molester how Josh was molested himself etc. Just pretty shot after petty shot and i was wondering why Josh didn't hit back harder. Some people are saying its because Josh didn't know all the dirt on Ralph and even Josh himself says he tries to avoid the dirt and didn't have any world changing information on him. Which i can believe to an extent. Josh probably hears things in bits and pieces but it would be hard to keep up with all the threads on all the farms etc.
Some express disappointment that Josh didn't read up on Ralph to have ammo, but here is what i think.
Even if this wasn't Josh's plan or intentions and that Josh just didn't want to have dirt on anyone like he says, going in and letting Ralph be the aggressor could have worked in Josh's favor. On the Killstream this could have been a loss, for the Farms this could have been a loss, but that was not the arena this time. This time it was The Dick Show and a lot of that audience is probably what we would see as bordering to normie. They don't know all this info and drama on Josh or on Ralph and that makes Ralph come off as petty and vindictive. The lead up is that Josh leaked some DMs that didn't matter, Ralph attacks that with accusations of child molestation and that Josh was molested, that Josh fled the country, That Josh can't get off on human touch etc etc. We know the lore about Josh and Ralph, the TDS listeners probably don't. Ralph coming off as aggressive and trying to act "cool" in the way you can hear the gunt breathing "uuurgh" that Ralph does and slinging insults, to the people not in the know, will just seem pathetic.
So even if Josh didn't plan it like that, not attacking Ralph with all the knowledge of the farms might have been a legitimate strategy to make Ralph just seem like a huuuuuge cockbag to Dick's audience. Thats just a theory tho but i can see people get that view of Ralph from this.
