It's not incoherent, it's about striking a medium between the extremes of total individual liberty (anarchy) and total security (tyranny). Which is why, frankly, I approve of it; other political philosophies that focus on maximizing one pole rather than finding a balance between multiple ones inevitably harm real human beings, because polar positions, both politically and geographically, are inhospitable to human life.

Much like the tank and other advancements broke the stalemate of trench warfare, I think technology will break the current political landscape.
Most of the arguments for abortion can be used to justify genetic engineering. (It's not a human, a woman's right to privacy.) Problem is that once you start engineering humans you don't have equality unless you start engineering everyone.
And if I open a makerspace to teach people skills, am I empowering people or endangering society? I teach a person to run a machine tool, they can take those principles and make weapons. Which is true of most fields actually. (Chemistry, electronics, physics)
That's what I meant when "it is incoherent." You will have a splintering as individuals decide for themselves about what the new "medium" should be.

Yes, there is a massive conspiracy that every doctor and scientist in the world is in on to make HCQ not look effective against a world-wide pandemic just to make Trump look bad. Oh and somehow the scientists knew it would be effective against Covid-19 15 years before Covid-19 even existed
Also, to respond to the "TAKING YOUR RIGHTS AWAY!" thing, during the Spanish flu certain governments enforced social isolation, which later ended up giving the "rights" back (and areas where social isolation happened had way fewer deaths). Although why anyone is retarded enough to think the states want to keep people inside and mess up the economy is beyond me.

Although his comment "chief among them is that they do not protect you or others from viruses" makes me suspect he's not even a real doctor because he's wrong about that according to the CDC
The truth is among certain conservatives for decades there's been a growing fear of 'big liberal government'.Conspiracy theories about 'taking our rights' have flourished since the 1990's.The difference is that this pandemic for the first time fits somewhat with the paranoid worldview of them.Its the first time since 1945 that widespread measures of emergency rule have went into effect.Genuine emergency rule that is directly felt by all.For many this has led to apprehension.It just doesn't fit with their worldview in which America cannot fail.So they've doubled down on old time conspiracies about 'globalists'.Its also a sign of desperation.You can't shoot a virus but you can fight a real human.People want a human face to this crisis.Unlike 9/11 there is no human face to vent anger.Nobody likes an enemy that doesn't even remotely look like you.

No, it isn't. This is bordering on idolatry but, there are plenty of Trump idolaters who unironically believe he is literally the God emperor. Trump is quite literally their golden calf. I mean, I voted for Trump in 2016 but, the man has proven himself to be a total conartist and an absolute failure for the most part.

I've heard some different takes on it. The most "mainstream" among fundamentalist Christians seem to be that God is using Trump like God used the King of Persia. Another idea is that he has been anointed by God, which quite frankly goes far against the ideas of republican Constitutional government. Then you have... the truly Trump Enslaved like that.
