I like clipping them more to add to my folder when I sort this out for a timeline of events that I keep around for reference on when things happen. Of course, I do this and show it to no one. It's just a little pass time for me. I really should use archive more though.

I was calling it a few weeks ago, a peasants revolt is brewing in CG. This business with Preston was a small distraction but there's a lot of issues underlying in CG at the moment causing trouble. It looks like Ethan's troll shielding of Anna, Cecil and Malin is starting to rub some of the lower level Warcampaign speds the wrong way.

In further thought I'm reminded of the similarities again to Gamergate.

At this point, even if EVS disavows Warcampaign who is left in his corner? He’s proven to be such an inflammatory douchebag that the only people who stick around are the ones relying on him for income like Kyle Ritter and Cecil. Malin has more than enough talent to strike out on his own and Zack barely gives CG the time of day.

As a case study of how to not do social media marketing.
The way I see it, WC is the vocal 10% of EVS fanbase and I would guess they are mostly culture warriors. I doubt they are comicbook fans.
There is a silent 90% that will pop in livestream, give superchats, watch the videos, support the books and pop out. Some of them may be whales who collect funnybooks and knickknacks and are not there to fight the es-jay-doublyous or enforce cg purity, Fandom Menace people and followers of the EJACK show.
The way the WC spergery is coming out will burn a lot of them out. WC can cut a further 20% of EVS audience Some of that 20% is throwing serious money at EVS and CG instead of Marvel and DC. The more EVS is coming out as hypocrites, the more likely they are to go into throwing hundreds of dollars at backissues.
YBZ actually has the sustainable model of attracting people who want to buy his product and providing a steady flow of product at them instead of chasing the biggest campaign on indiegogo or play nanny to any grifter and wannabe.

Not entirely true. Froggot doesn't need Ro and his FailBrothersFail "movement" spesificly. He still needs some autistic stormtroopers with possible deniability. After all don't you think it's funny how he disowned WC right after Pretorian video and a failed copestream? He's gonna find a new Ro with a new theme for le-movment in place of Rome.

I agree, Frog does not need them at all. In fact the longer he associates with WC will hurt him. But he's also a sucker for whoever is kissing his ass the hardest at any given moment. That's how WC became a thing in the first place. Hail Caesar? They'll crawl back while memeing their fingers crossed and Frog will fall for it again. It'll be especially satisfying watching Pan grovel.
The only question is which WC members get Spurged in the process. It'll tell us who is actually getting paid on the WC side by who grovels the hardest.

How long did Ethan disowned WC for, 48 hours? Finding that sort of crazed devotion is rare and nearly impossible to replace. If he does Uncle E will need to do it quick because when WC are cut lose they'll come after him with a full-on, no holds barred GayOp

While that is true, most of WC doesn't actually care if CG books make money or challenge the mainstream SJW hegemony. What matters to them is that creators treat them with unconditional respect and test that "unconditional" part by behaving in the most degenerate, loathable manner possible. If that means driving off every creator talented or popular enough to not need their patronage, or having a semblance of self-respect along with their followings, so be it. It doesn't occur to them to ask how a "movement" could sustain itself off a 48-page comic book released every 18 months.
