From what I can tell, Hololive often selects independent vtubers who already have a proven track record and just need a boost to get to the next level. I know of at least one site that already tracks and lists all their previous streaming and social media accounts.
As for an English speaking Hololive Branch.. it could work if COVER is very careful on who they pick. They already have one suspected Japanese-American, Kiryu Coco's original streaming channel has been found where she sometimes streams with a facecam and she is from Atlanta, GA. It's not surprising, when she is genuinely startled a bit of a southern accent slips out when she curses in English and her Japanese sounds.. "off." She can't be a native Japanese speaker. A lot of the newer Hololive members from Indonesia and China especially are multilingual and have pretty good English and Japanese along with their native language, for example Artia and Civia. Any Hololive English members will probably be held to the same standards.

It's funny as fuck, but it makes me wonder if May was being purposefully backhanded by drawing it.
She even "playfully" calls her her "shonen battle rival".
Honestly seems like she tried to get into Yazzy's good graces at a point, had a good old fashioned situation of "senpai didn't notice me </3" or maybe Yazzy could sense May's BS/potentially using her for anituber clout and now has a huge grudge, to the point both Digi and May are convinced Yazzy gives a shit about them. And who knows, maybe they do. But it's weird how for all the dunking on the two Digi and May have done, I don't think anyone's seen Yazzy post about either of them recently.
It's easy to speculate, but since we know May and Digi read this thread, maybe they can clear the air as to why they have such a hard-on for them

Sure you can find the VAs of the idols pretty easily, but the difference between them and may is how open they are with it.
May literally uploaded a video saying hey I'm going to audition to voice in an industry that holds the anonymity of the VAs key. I don't think any other vtuber did that. Adding to that the vtubers aren't the pewdiepies of their realm, rather they had quite low numbers comparatively. Their numbers were even lower than May and Digi have right now.
Most importantly, May is famous due to connections to one of the biggest (formerly) MALE anitubers and her voice would be pretty easy to recognise. If she was going to audition for nijisanji then it would be ok as people there are less autistic about the "purity" of their waifus. But as of now, HololivePro fans are the most fanatical purity obsessed of the bunch. It's why the male and female vtubers barely collab. Hell, it's why the males barely get play on the main channel. It' also why having a fiance will piss of the fans, especially japanese fans.

The Digi subreddit is now back to public. I think Digi finally got the message to make more of an effort when making content and received some valuable feedback (who knows if Digi will learn from this experience). While I respect the fact that Digi is trying to reach out to those who may have lost interest in their content, trying to do this in a dead subreddit/the farms is misguided. The response to private the subreddit seemed odd since the subreddit was dead. I remembered at one point Digi talked about how they were essentially ostracized/blacklisted from r/anime. The mods on r/anime didn't like Digi's content because at first Digi was self posted their own videos and slowly the animosity snowballed. Soon after Digi was banned from r/anime. When the "Crunchyroll Please Stop" video blew up the mods of r/anime were actively trying to prevent it from being at the top of the board. This experience most likely soured the reddit experience for Digi which is why they were quick to shut down r/digibro. I'm surprised Digi made r/digibro public once again.
