To be fair to the artist Glip's magenta vomit of today is more aproachable than her earlier more technical and better put work in terms of skill level required for imitation, also im sure Glip would give them a stink eye for reminding them they used to put effort into this shit by imitating earlier work.

It's not just that she started doing porn but that she started to be consumed by it. Sex sells, and if you focus only on that sort of thing and are lucky you'll realize it's not healthy and learn to balance your horniness with actual creativity at the very least. It's not easy but it's possible. With Glip, she never learned to balance her horniness in addition to devolving into a lazy smear of pastels and magentas. It's too late for her, obviously.

I was actually looking for drawing reference and stumbled across her old Pokemon art and remembering how I used to look up to her as an artist. Seeing where she went since then and what she really was is honestly kinda sad. Lots of wasted potential.

Yes, there is more info about this in the thread. She 100% did contribute to Softpaw, and there is art of it.
As a side note, drawing something =/= you being into it sexually, nor does it equal self projection. If something is perceived as 'popular', more people will indulge in it, even if it is seen as morally wrong. Especially if there were young people drawing it; this is yet another grooming tactic used by the furry community. They likely don't know what is wrong yet because no one has told them it was wrong.
If Melanie was drawing this in her teens, it could be that she too was groomed to believe it was OK to draw this sort of thing. It doesn't help the sexual abuse that she may have witnessed as a child that further encourages the child porn. What we are exposed to as children affects our fetishes in the future. Even if it's seen as wrong today, it may not have been in their time. Things that get you sexually aroused are difficult to redefine in your brain. The denial of "it's not that bad" works itself out because they don't see how they're affected by it.
Many teens in the furry community end up drawing porn at a young age. I started drawing porn at the age of 12 because I was groomed into the community. I didn't realize it was wrong, no one told me it was wrong. I even drew cub porn because it was normalized. It is a mystery to me why people can claim that the furry community can be for all ages. It normalizes and even encourages what society has found to be morally/ethically reprehensible.

Unfortunately it was over a decade ago and I doubt archives exist. But when Glip appeared on AGNPH she drew porn almost from the start. She became popular for it there and I assume that is how she hooked up with the big cheese that were Marl and Eevee. The flowery SFW stuff people liked was always a side project to the Pokeporn and was on her livejournal mostly.

There were a lot of teenagers on that site, and the admins all but admitted a lot of people were flaunting the rules and putting fake birthdays down to appear over 18. We were all clueless teenagers looking for attention, and many of us got groomed by the predators on that site.
