Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

Here some more if your sides have not left yet.

‘Biden Center’ at UPenn Under Fire over Financial Ties to China

The Biden Center at the University of Pennsylvania is under fire this week over its alleged failure to disclose millions of dollars in gifts from China. The center has allegedly failed to disclose $70 million in gifts from China since 2017.

Odd this was not mentioned in the MSM.

Considering the alternative, for Democrats a cup of lukewarn tard cum is better candidate. Get this old man into the White house then use non senile staff to start fixing GOP mistakes.
Interesting...you say that like it's only the staff that matters, and the president not at all. If that's the case, why is the Democrats' election strategy to scream ORANGE MAN BAD? Orange Man is meaningless if this is true. Shouldn't the Democrats have a least one major selling point that isn't Trump related?

Also, someone will always be in charge. If Joe Biden isn't in charge and just a position holder, who would be in charge? Why didn't they just run themselves?

Does this mean Obama actually accomplished nothing, it was always someone beneath him?

Please, by all means, sell me, a libertarian-ish type, on the idea of an internal party power cabal without even cursory voter approval or oversight.

The Democrat line is a power cabal is better because you can at the worst be ineffectual, rather than an idiot in charge who rages on Twitter all day. If Biden does Jack Shit during his whole term, to the Dems that'd be better. Also, some of those government positions Trump either never fills or fires the position holder every half a year or so would become filled.

Personally, I want the EPA to not be under regulatory capture anymore. The GOP does not give a fuck about the environment.

So the selling point is that a shadowy, unelected, unchecked cabal would be better than an open candidate who has his cards face up for you to judge? That's really what you're saying?

Before I derail this thread with sperging out over how that is removing accountability is the major factor keeping 3rd world countries broken, let me ask this again: WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE? WHAT MAKE THEM QUALIFIED TO RULE? Trump has a election victory as a sign of common approval. What do these people have?

"What we really need is a man who accomplishes nothing"

Also, some of those government positions Trump either never fills or fires the position holder every half a year or so would become filled.

Trump runs his cabinet like he ran his business; cut-throat, but effective. Not scandalous or even particularly interesting.

And how will you ensure that these unelected shadow princes remain uncorrupted? Who are they? How will we know if they're not fit?

Washington is a revolving door between politicians and lobbyists. How will a unelected cabal be less vulnerable to corruption than a regular politician?

Effective? That's a laugh. A high turnover rate means nothing gets done. Also Trump has a pretty bad business record so him running the government like it is bad, not good.

They would or could have the same qualification as all of Trump's appointees. Betsy Devos is a private schooled ultra religious silver spooner who should not be in charge of public schools, yet she is anyway.

We will know of them because Biden will literally hire them and fill them into the positions. I should have specified his cabinet, not some secret cabal.

The DNC has seriously brain damaged a lot of people, this shit would have been considered heresy by any democrat during the Bush era. Now they willing to became the very monsters they accused Bush of and now Trump. And now they embraced Bush because he never cared enough to push back like Trump does.

But Biden is mentally deficient, due to the dementia. So how do you know his cabinet will, in fact, be qualified?

Or will his staffers be making the decision for him about his cabinet? In which case, again, why is Biden running, if he is literally nothing more than a puppet? That’s what Russia does.

Because the atmosphere for Dems is all fucking in every hand on deck. I'm pretty sure most Dems do not care about the candidate at this point, Mission Objective: just get rid of Trump. He's establishment? Oh well. Little bit demented? Get him his meds it can work. Done bad things in the past? Trump's done worse. Just get rid of Donald at all costs.

The Democrats would fucking Weekend at Biden's at this point, just oust the moron currently in office.

So, you agree Biden is senile.

We will know of them because Biden will literally hire them and fill them into the positions. I should have specified his cabinet, not some secret cabal.
So your qualifications for the chosen members is they will be picked by Biden, but Biden will have nothing to do with ruling the country, it will be the members he picked. He's just a figurehead who will make none of the important decisions, which include picking the members. He will of course pick the best members, because he's demented. :story:

I mean probably yeah. The GOP does the same thing, being made of rich businessmen who don't care about people, big oil, big coal, sweatshops in China type stuff. Toeing the Trump Line has been something every Republican had been made to do. If it's not a problem when they do it, it's not a problem when the Dems do it either.

I mean probably yeah. The Democrats does the same thing, being made of rich businessmen who don't care about working class people, big tech, big unions, academia, sweatshops in China type stuff. Toeing the Neoliberal Line has been something every Democrat had been made to do. If it's not a problem when they do it, it's not a problem when the GOP do it either.

So your solution is to be like the GOP rather than promise better shit like what FDR did that got him 4 terms in a row. True many on this website would disagree with FDR and the New Deal but to get 4 terms is no joke.

With Trump, no amount of toeing to GOP voters will work. I'll get dogpiled I don't care, his cult of personality will make people vote for him no matter how much he fucks up, which is often. And FDR was fucking despised by conservative types in his day, every damn GOP member today would hate FDR because of "Muh handouts", "Muh government institutions", "waaa the WPA workers are lazy", and then prattle on about "muh bootstraps". Economic interventionsim helped revitalize the country and they despised him.

Also FDR was replacing Hoover, who everyone hated, so that worked especially in his favor.

Democrats increase government oversight, so asking for something else isn't really going to fly. The most right wing of the democrat candidates imo was Tulsi, No progressive was going to side with Tulsi, and no conservative was going to side with her because she disliked the Military Industrial Complex.
