Yeah, so ... This was 100% murder.
The "character" of the victim is a non-factor in this case. Him resisting arrest is also a non-factor (given that he was unarmed and very much outnumbered). The reaction the officers had is indefensible. They made a show of this arrest-- a crystal clear abuse of their power, and someone is now needlessly dead. The four officers being fired isn't good enough.
This is why a police state, even in the face of a scary global pandemic, should absolutely terrify everyone.
