The worst is concentrated in about 8 blocks to a mile, but Minneapolis isn’t a very big city in terms of area.

ETA: An independent pharmacy that opened in the last year and is owned by a Somali pharmacist is now on fire.

If there's any sort of insurance policy in place, getting your shit burned/looted by the protesters is way better for the owners than staying shut down indefinitely due to corona-chan and hemorrhaging money

The cop is gonna be in solitary for a few years and get paroled out quietly. That, if theyre not gonna try the traditional "overcharge him with murder one and fuck up the prosecution" shtick. In which case the dindus will burn down the town again.

Yeah, but now you have a fat sack of insurance money and can set up shop wherever the fuck you want, are you going to rebuild in a place that just looted and burnt down your business? I would take my stacks of cash and GTFO to somewhere not run by fucking Democrats for the past 50 years.

Any comorbidities- large guy, being overweight, and kind of heart or lung issue amplifies the risk. The autopsy may show heart attack, stroke or asphyxia - but all will be a direct result of that restraint. .

I know cops face some pretty hard arrests, with some violent offenders and they need robust techniques to keep an offender down, and they need to be able to restrain - but kneeling with your knee on a prone cuffed man is not good.
Cop needs to be charged, is my opinion.

I know this is a little late but i wanted to add that in the UK, in psych wards, face-down restraint is discouraged from being used anymore because of this issue. People have died being restrained face down due to asphyxiation, without any pressure on the neck. It still does get used now, but charities are kicking up a huge stink about it because it isn't safe and pretty degrading (but obviously thats specific to hospital situations, if you're a criminal being restrained honestly who gives a shit if you're a bit embarrassed/scared). This is a report from 2013 on restraint in psych hospitals, it's still an issue even now. At the time of that report, face-down restraint had been found to be directly related to causing the death of 13 patients.

What happened here is down right just disgusting and those officers are getting off lightly if this ends with them only being fired, even if the guy was being violent in some way the amount of pressure being put on him from multiple people, and on his neck? Nah man that's fucked up.
