There are certain randos, even now, who use "Fuck Nasser" as a catchprase in CG chats. Even when I was in the fold I always assumed there was some part of the story I was missing given the amount of hostility directed towards you. Now though I'm guessing that phrase is part of typical CG toady-ism, and a way to win favour with higher-ups.

So question, do you feel like any particular people turned on you and attacked you to elevate themselves?

I pretty much agree with this. While Nasser probably could return to Comicsgate and be relatively accepted by most people still involved, it would result in returning to being the butt of everyone's joke.

Someone mentioned @NasserRabadi13 “only” made 23k off his books because of Ethan, but it should be noted that his books were also substantially cheaper than just about every other CG project so he would have made less even with the same sales.

It’s also something they discussed remedying in the early days of CG, but since EVS, Malin, Cecil, Donal etc are all able to pull in decent numbers charging more than twice as much as Nasser did that talking point quietly fell by the wayside.

that's the only way to elevate yourself in cg is attacking people. They always need an enemy. So that's why ethan, tug, yf, whoever elsse said i "made fun of tug's wife's miscarriage" so they could get clicks, sympathy bucks, etc. while never needing to show proof.

Same with everyone else who joined the dogpile afterwards. Like J Ishiro (who I don't really like, except for his liam roast), after i was dogpiled, started to say "haha I can't believe people wanted to work with him instead of a real writer like me!" and J did apologize, but it didn't really seem genuine, but at least he said sorry while these guys never did.

liam, micah, etc. have all dunked on me because it's the "cool thing to do" to get bucks in cg.

It's typical npc "___bad gimme money" because all they see the audience as is paypigs.

I never did anything other than write and put out books. In 2017-2018 I wrote well over 300 comic book scripts. from 2018-2020 I've written at least a dozen novels (50,00-70,000 words each), 10 novellas (18,00-25,000 words), dozens of short stories, a movie script, a tv show pilot, and not to mention second/third drafts of most of that stuff. Not to mention I did most of that with a day job, and a good chunk while in college (I graduated in 2018 at age 20, I'm going back June 1st for a second degree). I never had any time for drama or anything other than what was important to me--telling stories.

If these guys had anything on me they'd actually say it, instead of "oh I hate Nasser he backstabbed cg but i can't tell you how!"

Zack is wrong. If someone starts a movement based on “muh ethics in comic books” they shouldn't be surprised when people start to turn on them for consistently tossing those ethics to the wind, or picking and choosing which of those ethics to uphold when it suits them.

Last I checked Meyer built a comics career on feeling he was entitled to have the comics industry do comics the way he likes.

And good for him. Meyer had legitimate complaints but he also wanted to go back to 1996 and the quality of story telling in that era was pure garbage.

Looking at the garbage heap Ethan has turned CG into and calling it a garbage heap doesn't make you a "slave". It just means you're conscious.

It's obviously less of a movement and more of an EVS centered universe now. I think people liked it more when Doug and Smiller and Nasser were on board. But egos took over. Yes EVS has an ego, but he also has a pretty entertaining personality for YouTube - verified by his subscribers. I think when others realized it isn't as easy as it seems, jealousy took over. Plenty of blame to go around. The 6 hardcore ANTI-CG guys who post here nonstop can only see one side.

Ethan made a huge mistake by trusting WC as much as he did. Just looking at the tweets of some of the members should have sent alarm bells off. But if you put yourself in his position, you've got these rabid fans who will do anything for you. It's probably hard to say get lost.

CG is a brand tarnished with too much drama IMO. I think EVS would be better off actually making All Caps an actual company and look at some sort of distribution. Talk to Mitch maybe. He can still be the front man and do a Cyberfrog a year, but why not bring some people under the umbrella to streamline costs like printing and fulfillment. Treat it more corporate and go back to taking on the industry SJW'S.

Doug specifically was never going to last. You could tell in those initial streams EVS got him on that both of them had big personalities and there was just a ton of conflict after Doug (Doug v Mike, Doug v Cecil etc) showed up. I appreciate Doug’s creativity and work ethic, but it’s for the best he’s not involved with CG anymore. It’d be even better if EVS and Doug could live and let live and stop taking gay snipes at each other (before anyone says Doug doesn’t do this, he was just on SWC’s stream the other day and he absolutely does).

Nasser is a giga-autist that got his seat at 'the big show' by screeching at CB Cebulski at a con and then made autistic screeching and being confrontational 'his thing', naturally people got tired if his whiny entitled ass and hilarious demands to be taken seriously so he wandered off to join the Midnight Cherry TV brigade of proto-anti's. Nothing of value was lost.
Nasser was there for entertainment purposes only, because his foot stamping demands were comedy gold for a while, but in truth the only hour of entertainment Nasser provided was 'Nasserpiece Theater' and the dramatic readings of his 'work'....

Jesus, who cares about work ethic? From what I've seen the dude has no talent. Even EVS is a better writer than Nasser, and he's not a good writer.
