Is it possible to send in the marine corps if shit reaches a point of no return. Also Trump will probably have to return all US forces back to the mainland. Joggers somehow ended the interventionist policy of neocons and neoliberals, who would have thought their pets would fuck everything up. Most trump supporters I have met usually live in the suburbs or rural areas combined with militia groups also must be watching this as well and making plans in case of a civil unrest.

Not currently allowed, national guard under state control is the last line authorized by current law and regulation.
EDIT: I'm kinda wrong here, the Insurrection Act applies. Basically if laws aren't getting enforced such that constitutional rights are getting deprived and the state can't or won't fix it, the feds can come in if it's "insurrection, domestic violence, unlawful combination, or conspiracy". President has to make a determination that these conditions are met and notify congress ASAP and every 14 days thereafter, but if he does, he can send in troops under his own authority.
tl;dr - Posse Comitatus says that you can send in the nasty girls under state control, and if shit's still hitting the fan and that doesn't work, you can declare it's an insurrection that the states can't deal with and send in federal troops

Now that the police are pulling out, and armories have been looted, and uprisings are going nationwide, this is slowly starting to remind me of Albania in the 1990s. There was an economic collapse, everyone's businesses closed down, people were furious at the government based on perceptions that they were being abused by corrupt leadership, and the government was toppled. Look up "1997 Pyramid crisis."
I don't think that the whole country is going to descend into anarchy of course, but I think that we could see some localized versions of that for a period of time in areas like Minneapolis and Detroit. Hopefully. Maybe.
