Things don't always go as planned. Controlling crowds this agitated and this dispersed in so many cities at once can be challenging, and we may get lucky and see the elites finally lose control of what they started. Once all of the black and working class white/Hispanic areas of Minneapolis are scorched, where else will there be to go but the rich neighborhoods? If police start to lose control, the people in those neighborhoods will likely have advanced notice of what is coming and quickly abandon their dwellings (making them easy targets for looters).
If the authorities regain control and successfully defend the elite quarters, we very well may see a lot of dead looters. Either way, it's a great outcome.
