YMMV but the Rodney King one was worse. Way worse. More widespread, the news was actually covering it, motherfuckers were getting pulled out of vehicles and beaten.

The scene was pretty fucking intense.

The only thing was, back then, the rioters knew when the Army showed up that it was time to go home and not fucking push it. Like I said before, motherfuckers remembered Kent State and the US Army was viewed as "Oh fuck, they killed off the 3rd largest army in the world in 92 fucking hours. They ain't gonna fuck around! Plus, it wasn't like 4 fucking Humvees driving by.

It was entire companies road marching, locked and loaded or with axe handles, trucks full of dudes who jumped out and said: "Go fucking home or I'll shoot you."
