Okay there is gas leaking apparently uhh..don't mind the stupid question but..is it possible for the gas lines to ignite and go boom?

Fire and explosion are fuel (eg, natural gas) + oxidizer (eg, oxygen in air) + ignition source. Properly functioning gas lines just have gas in them and don't explode, even with ignition sources.

On the other hand, there's a lot of physical damage and heat going on, and that can compromise structural integrity and disperse gas into the air. At that point it's fuel finely mixed with oxidizer, and that is explosive as fuck. The better-mixed the fuel and oxidizer, the more energy per unit mass, and the more fuel involved, the bigger the explosion.

tl;dr - the lines themselves are fine, but any situation with physical damage has a lot of risk added via damaged gas lines.

at this point all power lies with the governor, the feds may not be able to intervene until things get much much worse like the rioters crossing state lines to enrich the surrounding states
I mean, they're destroying federal property, so that ought to count for something?
Man the amount of effort to NOT do shit is annoying.
...Well I'm not saying anything about that.

Guys, if things get bad between China and the US due to WuFlu, we should just send the “protesters” to China. They’re (almost) as effective as nukes.
I'd pay money to see Xi give one iota of a damn what some liberals in Seattle think about him being racist as he cleans his streets up with a smile.
