The people who are aghast at this haven't watched police bodycam videos where black suspects are able to draw guns and knives even with 2 officers wrestling them to the ground, this actually happened a year or so ago. Everyone similarly freaked out that the guy was shot until they showed he was pulling a gun and trying to shoot them even as they were trying to cuff him. Or they rush you with a knife even after you taze them.

You know who says "I can't breathe I am in pain" and cries? 90% of all people getting arrested. "I can't breathe" is a meme in the black community at this point, they say these on all kinds of arrests now because they know people are filming (either bodycams or bystanders.) White girls hyperventilating in the backs of police cars say they can't breathe either, while screaming "rape" while being handcuffed. I don't take hysterical people at their word and burn down cities.

Nigga, it was very clearly the back of his neck and he was pushing it into hard concrete. You can restrain a person in a million different ways without putting force on such a sensitive area. I don't even disagree with most of what you're saying, my contention is that you don't restrain someone in a way that can cause serious injury or death, I thought everyone knew how dangerous fucking with someone's neck is. It could be found out that he died of a crack overdose and I'd still be saying the same thing.

Most of this shit will not be reconstructed for a long time. Today’s teenage looters’ kids will be passing by the rubble of the buildings their mommy and daddy burnt down. Just because some business owners will get money from their insurance doesn’t mean they’ll rebuild in the same spot. Most won’t.

When a place becomes too dangerous and unstable, the more affluent people simply move out. Businesses move where the people with the most disposable income reside. This will cause unemployment to skyrocket. It will be much worse because of the economic toll of the covid-19 lockdown. A ridiculous number of businesses will go belly up in the long run. The city will rebuild the bare minimum. With less and less money trickling into the city’s coffers, projects that aren’t absolutely necessary will be put on hold.

A poor city is a city with a poor public education system. The people who could benefit the most from public education, libraries, tax-funded activities for kids and young adults are the very people who are now burning down the city. In the long run, this will make life much harder for the poor.

Rich whiteys and non-ghetto POC will be fine. They’ll move, restart their lives, move on. The nigg.ers are fucked tho.

There was a blackout in New York in 1977, and it was mainly black neighborhoods that immediately started looting businesses. The neighborhood never recovered, and you see this every time there is a blackout. It's always mostly black people looting and destroying. And yes, this does have a chilling effect on people who want to do business there.

Why do businesses hate opening in black neighborhoods? The same reason all their convenience stores need bulletproof glass. It's not a conspiracy, it's not racism, it's that even on a GOOD DAY you're 5x more likely to be robbed in a black area especially if you are a store that sells nice things. If you open a clothing wholesaler selling track pants you'll be safe. If you open a Rolex store, good fucking luck.
And guess what? Everyone knows this deep down. If you have 60k saved up to open a small store and it took you 10 years to achieve that, where are you going to open it? Do you want to open a Wendy's that will be the arena for 50 World Star Hip Hop gang brawl videos? Do you wanna open a rare antique store where 40 black high school kids rush in to "browse?"

Nothing's coming back you goofy spades, people didn't want to be there to begin with.
I don't want to watch my life's work come crash burning to the ground while going viral and everyone is laughing at it.

Depends- this might be a shot in the arm for the black support for Biden, but if violent riots continue with no clear moral stance and a weak response by the authorities, the surrouding suburbs may trend towards Trump.

Every urban riot seems to always end up destroying black wealth in the end. Those doing the looting don't care since they never had much going for them in the first place, but it ends up snipping the shoots off those enterprising enough to try harder.

Sadly this is the future they face because the left and looters have allowed it to happen. Life isn't a video game and when businesses abandon the communities in Minneapolis it wouldn't surprise me future news articles asked "How has Minneapolis turned to shit and why black residents are barring the blunt of poverty; joblessness."

They may get more black turnout, however if this goes on much longer the Democrats are going to have to condemn the looters if they want suburban white moms to vote for them. Nixon beat Humphrey in 1968 in part because of the riots. The Bernie Bros probably don't know that, but the establishment Democrats do.

You're forgetting how many whites don't vote for themselves, but for minority issues. Stuff like this convinces people that the biggest issues right now aren't the issues that affect them personally, but affect others, so they'll be more likely to say "well Biden / dems don't have my best interests at heart, but I need to put aside my interests for blacks/minorities because of what I've seen on CNN"
Of course, ironically, this whole situation arose in an area thats completely dem controlled.
