Twitter Hides POTUS Tweet

The problem may be less that he's GONNA DO IT and more that his loyal, slobbering fanbase is going to assume that repealing 230 is a good idea and push for it long after he's gone. (Well, at least until they drop dead of some good ol' fashioned drug overdoses.) So Trumpy may just be pissy that Twitter is being retarded, but the bigger doom and gloom comes from the fact that he may have accidentally evangelized a legion of politically illiterate dipshits that eagerly get into 14 paragraph arguments on facebook.

Of course, the wider point about the fact that prominent walking corpse Joe Biden is ALSO looking to use 230 as a burial shawl shouldn't be lost, either.

The EO may be a toothless gesture, but that doesn't stop it from being a symbolic one.

LISTEN TO ME RETARDS
Stop fucking chimping. You read the fucking executive order, it doesn't say shit about revoking 230. You shouldn't give a shit about what ZLRUMPFT tweets – you've seen him rattle his sabre time and time again. Unless he's actually snapped, that fat kike won't do shit.

S O, it's Friday today. The shit's postponed until Monday. So wait until fucking Monday before deciding whether or not to chimp out or not.
That goes to you too, @Null, you hysterical bitch.

To be fair people don't come here to get unbiased news coverage and erudite analysis. They come here for spectacular chimp outs

This is so beyond tech-illiterate that I can't wrap my head on this. How do you get beyond that?
It's very simple human psychology. Chimp psychology, even. "I use this [tech thing]. Oh wait, [someone] else is using it. I don't like that [someone]. I can't stop [someone] from using it in a way that benefits them. I destroy [tech thing]. If I truly needed it, I will find or build another [tech thing] myself later. [Someone] else needs to be stopped at all costs.

It’s often breathtaking how thin-skinned Trump is.

He's not thin skinned at all. It's a persona. He's faking it. By taking a hard stance, he makes it so people have to talk him back from that hard stance and he gets more of what he wants.

Contrast Obama's limp wristed fuckery, which was only salvaged by his unbelievably huge ego and demand that it was his way or the highway.

I wish the orange orangutan were competent enough to do this and end this social media madness once and for all. No more pizza gate, flat earth conspiracy, qanon... But unfortunately he is a buffoon and a conman whose only response to any problem is to immediately issue the most extreme threat that most of the time he can't even follow through and of the few occasions where he can follow through doing so almost never yield him the optimal result. His strategy is unlikely to be successful even in a chimpanzee society; ergo his failure as a businessman where having put his inheritance in a mutual fund would have made him wealthier than he is.

It was nice knowing you.
If I get beaned, but turn out to be right, I'll make a sock just so I can laugh at him.
Are you fucking blind? Do I have to spell it out for your doomer ass?
THE EXECUTIVE ORDER DOESN'T SAY SHIT ABOUT REVOKING IT
ONLY ORANGE MAN'S STUPID ASS TWEET
UNLESS HE ACTUALLY DECIDES TO GO THROUGH WITH IT (WHICH HE PROBABLY WON'T, BECAUSE HE'S JUST A SABRE RATTLER), IT'LL REMAIN JUST YET ANOTHER DUMBASS TWEET
NOW SHUT THE FUCK UP AND WAIT TILL MONDAY
YES IM MAD ON THE INTERNET

Remember that Twitter does have an active group of chucklefucks that were literally blackmailing Jack into letting them do whatever they wanted. I forget their names, but there were two trannies, one of which went after @Null repeatedly when she was connected to Google somehow. So there's an entire possibility that the whole "Twitter deleted a Trump Tweet" was just some faggy ass troon having a chimpout and Jack is just too much of a pussy to tell them no.

As to all that has followed, if this goes and burns down an important bulwark of the internet, okay, reason to panic seems justified. At the same time, it's a bit early to say how this going to play out, so I prefer to wait a bit to see how badly I need to panic before I actually panic.

If if Trump did nothing. Eventually this site would become too much of a thorn in the side of Google who indexes KF, and more pressure would be put onto KF's hosting, and then people would be going "but muh Section 230! Noooo!"

Sorry Section 230 doesn't say we can't pressure your hosting and money lenders into pulling support because we don't like it.

You say that like KF is the only site on the internet that would be effected. KF is small time in the big picture, the ramifications would be far reaching. Way to miss the forest for the trees.

Trump literally tweeted "Revoke 230"

Oh, I get the wider rammifications. I also know that it won't have a kill squad coming for Null or any users any time soon. Again, we make fun of everyone else for giving a shit, and now you expect us to give a shit? This is a political and legal matter that will take years to gain traction.

I'm not putting money Trump grandstanding to go anywhere enough to give this any more concern than any other Orange Man Bad scenario.

While I don't want to sound like a doomer over this, as we live in a world where nearly anything could happen at any moment, if this site does go down, I just want to let you know that you're the best group of faggots I've had the pleasure of reading.

Yeah, I'd miss this place too. Still, over a long enough timescale, all sites and all people die.

I call 4D chess move. He's done this time and time again. He's not gonna do shit.

>be Trump
>Twitter fact-checks your opinion because their fact-checking committee may as well be populated by CCP operatives
>Twitter censors a presidential threat to bring order to rioting under the pretense of "glorification of violence"
>"hey wait, this is bull, literally all I said is that if the rioters loot and hurt people the guns are coming out, meanwhile they're still letting terrorist cells and the CCP use their platform for their own purposes"
>this doesn't sound very platform-y, sounds very publisher-y if you ask me
>writes up executive order that orders for the Situation to be Monitored
>crickets
>more crickets
>the sound of the crickets isn't as deafening as the sound of the presidential threat tweet still being censored despite literal, unabashed Islamist propaganda being untouched
>Jack Dorsey starts shooting
>"yeah, we'll fact check his opinions-- hell, lemme personally commission someone to fact-check his preference of Big Macs!"
>"How you like that, Donny?!"
>well that didn't work
>hmmmmm
>"Oh, yeah, Jack? Well, uh... um... I'll... repeal... Section 230."
>"...what."
>the internet collectively senses a disturbance
>"Oh, y--yeah. Yeah! I'll repeal the... fuck out of that section-- that-- that's what it is, yeah? Yeah-- yeah! I'll repeal it so hard there won't be any more peals to... re!"
>"D-d-Donald, you don't know what you're doing, here."
>"Oh, that got you scared, huh? Repeal Section 230! Repeal Section 230!"
>"
Well, shoot, my momma didn't raise no quitter!"
>"REPEALSECTION230!"
>Jack Dorsey goes out to defend Twitter's new initiative to fact check Donald Trump's BPM
>"Ceterum autem censeo delendam esse Sectiōnem CCXXX."

That's how I imagine this started as I simulate the state of mind of someone with a fever.

Are you reading any of these replies, or are you posting solely to have a big cry?

There's plenty of reasonable interpretations ITT, suggesting there's no reason to panic (and what you can do in the meantime to show the president repealing Section 230 is a bad idea.) You're "the Kiwifarms guy." Stop acting like one of the subjects of mockery on your own website show a little dignity, please.
Our lord and savior was right. Janny Jewsh needs to embrace Esoteric PPPism

The EO by itself was mostly show and bluster; an EO can't repeal law, so it wouldn't say anything about repeal. I was willing to give the benefit of the doubt at that point.

Now, not so much. We don't have anything like s.230 over here, so it's galling to see people who benefit from it advocate throwing out wholesale one of the major pieces of law that sets such a clear standard for free speech on the internet.

Something does need to be done about social media's influence over political discourse. This isn't it.
