I can't help but wonder if the kid is really deaf or if he's been trained to act deaf.

I can absolutely believe the kid is deaf. This is definitely a case of Munchausen's by proxy, so what I think happened is that the mother had a deaf kid, started getting attention for her son's disability, and got hooked on the attention and sympathy other people offered her and her kid. She then realized that while "deaf" is good for drawing attention it's not really a visible thing she could capitalize on. You can't really tell a kid is deaf just by looking at pictures.

Guess what's really visible, though?

Excessive makeup and girly clothes.

So either she groomed her son pretty hard, or the kid was already interested in girly things, and here we are now. Again, as I mentioned, her scam is running on borrowed time. Either she finds a way to get puberty blockers going on, or as soon as his balls start dropping there's a good chance he'll either get tired of the farce, or he'll be unable to look the part.

I don't think she's saying all her kids are deaf. Sounds to me like she's calling it her "deaf family" because the deafness of the one kid defines the family dynamics for her. They all had to learn sign language, they accomodate for a deaf member, therefore they're a "deaf" family. Remember, she's a munchie by proxy: the "condition" defines their entire lives. So it will be a "deaf family" when she wants attention to the deafness, and her "transgender family" (or some variant of it) when she's talking about trooning out her kid.

Knowing she has more kids is even more heartbreaking, though. Because you just know those aren't getting anywhere near the attention as "Ivy" is. Plus, their father isn't around, only her overbearing, greedy mother. Those children are going to grow up with issues.

Some degree this happens in all special needs families if the special need is difficult enough. Kinda has to for daily functioning but you can see difference between special needs family and SPECIAL needs family. Attention hos and munchies really can get annoying but you rarely see them involved in actual special needs programs. Some of course try but they tend run out of steam when dealing with special needs in environment where those aren't needs are special. Unless they get to be the top chicken they won get much special attention and that kills the attraction.

They may already have had genetic testing that shows all their children will be born deaf. Hereditary congenital deafness is something that does exist, though it is rare compared to other types of hearing loss.

It can't, that was an old article. I found a second source where she said that she and all four of her kids are deaf.

The minutes for the meeting say she's from "Saginaw". Other doxes say the move to Flint was more recent, so she doesn't really get leadwater pity.

This seems to be the only post in #NoahsKidney so I guess things worked out for the kid. "Noah Golob" doesn't get any hits, so I'm going to guess it is someone else's child. The rant doesn't actually give a full name or any contact information, so even I who am actively looking for information about this can't actually find anything. If you saw this and decided that you wanted to give a kidney to a stranger you couldn't, because nothing here tells you anything about it.

She was mentioned in a tattoo article back in 2014, nothing interesting there given how easy it is to get into a local puff piece.

Certainly a single-issue Arch-Karen, but I didn't really find anything interesting . Everything was about being deaf and oppressed until suddenly she can do the transgender and oppressed routine, which gets you much more attention.

Depends, modern pregnancy test are pretty reliable and can detect pregnancy few weeks after possible impregnation. Generally tough earlier you try more likely you are to get false results but false positives are a lot rarer than false negatives. Still most likely scenario is that she had late period for what ever reason, figured that is do being pregnant and then her period game because she was just late therefor miscarriage.

There are chemical pregnancies which are very early miscarriages, too early to detect a fetus or even have pregnancy symptoms, but still produce enough hCG to show up as positive on a pregnancy test.
