They're well aware that they need to let the nogs run wild and burn themselves out, sometimes quite literally, before attempting to regain control. They aren't going to risk their re-election ordering what will end up being a violent confrontation with police that will likely result in prolonged violence, so they choose to "give them a space to destroy".

that won't work out well for the out of town protestors who havent existed in ATL, those cops don't fuck around at all, they've lived their whole existence in one of the shittiest cities in the US nobody thinks about

I can't forsee the cops or government (albeit left leaning but regardless) letting this shit continue

I wasn't talking about the riots, I was talking about the cop who managed to keep his badge despite a career of shady behavior.
Why aren't the protests going after the people in city hall who enabled him?

A lot of those establishment dem blacks are also pretty well off, probably have guns (since everyone does), and I doubt would take too kindly even if it was other black people trying to fuck their shit up.

Looters then tried to come back and steal the safe. When cameras were there.
