Not really, if the way he was holding the guy compiled onto the health effects and intoxication and that resulted in his death, he can still be responsible.
People have pointed out that his knee was on the jugular, which restricted blood flow and would not have anything to do with strangulation.
If we are going down that road then being detained at all could have helped too so let's not be huge giant fags about this, we might as well blame Covid 19 for this then.
