Basically, Obama's FCC wanted to seize more power, so they dug up and leaked a proposal from some ISP suggesting the potential to charge customers based on what sites and streaming services they used (charging more if you used Netflix and so on). No ISP was actually doing this and there's no evidence that it ever went beyond some intern's hare-brained proposal but they used the public outrage to give themselves broad and ill-defined regulatory power over ISPs. Pai reverted this to its earlier state of limited regulation which caused internet addicts on all sides to absolutely lose their shit, sure that it meant any day now their ISP was going to start charging them per shitpost.

As far as I could tell very few people actually "lost their shit" over Kapumpernickle's "protests", most I saw just found it really annoying and/or disrespectful. This was characterized as frothy-mouthed raging because 1) the left never found a molehill they didn't want to turn into a mountain and 2) they are incapable of comprehending the idea that you can disagree with something without losing your shit over it, since they themselves are incapable of disagreeing with anything without losing their shit over it.

Also what exactly does this even mean? Okay, so even if "every conservative in America" did lose their shit over an overpaid manbaby's deliberate disrespect, that... makes rioting okay? The "logic" chain is pretty shaky even for a leftist.

Weird how all the ones wailing about this were super cool with it when Obama actually ordered the death of American citizens abroad without trial, and were supportive of his seeking the power to do so domestically. Man it's almost like they don't actually care about anyone's lives and are just beating their chests and screaming tribal war songs.

Funny, isn't it? When most conservatives are annoyed, such as with Kaepernick or the Impeachment hearings, they complain on the Internet, probably amongst their friends/family... And that's it. Move on with their day. Maybe a protest rally here and there, but nothing too crazy.

The current leftists? Ohhh booy, where to even start. Sure the normal ones will do what the normal conservatives do, but there's so many crazies. We have riots, doxxing and blacklisting, assault, insults, promoting violence, arson and vandalism, theft, cancel culture, the list goes on and on. And it's all vindicated and justified by the MSM and the twits on Twitter.

But you know, it's the righties that are the unhinged, violent types.
