ok so judging by some online sources a d&c procedure without insurance will cost anywhere from 5k-15k just through a private hospital on its own.

Compare that to a roughly 1k-2k charge if ALR went through a regular OBGYN office visit for the D&C procedure.

typically you will receive a separate bill from ER doctors for treatment which can range from 500-1k.

hospitals in KY charge Medicare about national average so ALR is looking at a 15-16k bill, lowest ballpark is 5k. The hospital may negotiate lower since she has no insurance and never pays her bills, like through a payment plan, since some payment is better than nothing at all.

Since ALR probably doesn’t know anatomy I’m assuming they may have cut her vulva/labia during the D&C because holding back all her folds the entire procedure and NOT slicing something extra would be a miracle.

Except, to echo pretty much everyone else in this thread, it's almost certainly not. It's possible they took a biopsy of the endometrium just to be sure, and I'm betting that's where she got the idea from. It can be pretty painful when you're prying the cervix open, and the dainty hole itself being surrounded by a few hundred excess pounds of fat and the patient squealing through the whole procedure wouldn't help. I know of cases where they've resorted to general anaesthetic when they're digging around in there for various reasons like rogue IUDs, so I could buy them knocking her out even with her being an insanely high risk. It's possible, is all I'm saying.

But, as others have pointed out, the most likely scenario is her hormones are a complete shitshow due to the fat and she had (yet another) extremely heavy period. (Remember her video about "standing in the shower" for an hour or whatever? Leave aside the fact that our gorl couldn't stand anywhere for an hour, let alone with serious cramps -- she has horribly nasty periods and has for years.) Even without the fat (and I'm not saying the fat isn't a significant factor) the big 3-0 is around the time a lot of women notice a change in their periods as hormone levels start to shift a bit.

90% chance this period wasn't even the worst she's ever had, but she just needed the sympathy/money/Becky's attention and it lead to some histrionics in the ER. Of course, she's not going to get the asspats she wants, this little stunt will cost her more than she made in a month of her YouTube Golden Days, and Becky either doesn't give a shit if she's in benzo-mode or will resent AL's taking her away from her mother if she's not.

Congrats, AL. You did it! You finally made the ER doctors take you seriously!

One thing I havent seen mentioned yet that I think is pretty important is that a woman normally gets a D&C for fetal babies that have died in utero, and are early in trimester. Babies that arent expelled naturally have to be removed through this process, or the rotting tissue can cause sepsis within the body. I have a feeling the medicine they gave her to staunch the bleeding is the same medicine they give to women who have had spontaneous abortions, and the hemorrhaging is too severe and won't stop. She absolutely wrecked her hormonal system so badly with how much weight she gained, she basically had to have an abortion for built up tissue. Absolutely mind blowing.

IIRC, it was because she was depressed over the death of her nephew and put a gun to her head the same night. That's why the anniversary of their death fucks her up so much.

I am really happy for a video being up-to-date good job Amber. I obviously don't want her to die, but I don't feel any sympathy for her. I actually feel kinda glad she'll have to spend so much money on this ER visit and surgery and stuff...

Agree, at this point, I will only believe something has actually happened if she doesn't record anything, even better if she doesn't even post anything on other social media (no snapchat, no insta, no youtube community tab, no facebook) and Becky would have to be the one informing us, maybe we'd get leaked messages from Becky saying Amber is in a bad situation for realism points. Maybe I shouldn't post it to give ALR stupid ideas?

I dunno, I would've thought that too, but after reading more about her and about her supposed suicide attempts, her mother's state. Even someone who is totally fine, which Necky isn't, could just shoot themselves in a heat of the moment.

Cancer screening is pretty standard in a situation such as this - Heavy bleeding and clotting is never good and they would have to rule it out esp as she has never had a smear.

Whenever a Dr says the words 'check for cancer' it is pretty terrifying - However it does seem that she has had a extremely heavy period and the D&C would have been a good clear out -

Sometime when you start losing weight that is when all the problems begin to surface...

Or perhaps it’s fibroids? They are thick tissue and cause a lot of bleeding and are tumors even though not cancerous but maybe one turned cancerous on her? I’d have to study up on my obgyn stuff to follow through but this sounds like fibroids. I’m surprised she did not have to have a whole hysterectomy that’s what I thought was going to happen.

Agree was just a heavy period with a lot of blood clots, for a woman able to reach her female parts that wouldn't be a problem, you just need several pads or an adult diaper until it's over.
