Not in this case, manuals for this tend to be very specific. The kind of hold you'd be looking at mentioned in the quoted text is one leg pressed on the side of the neck, preferably with them rolled to face away from you, the other leg on the arm closest to the ground, with one hand gripping their other arm. Its a riskier hold, but pretty well stops them moving anything but their legs.

Neither is effective against IIIA the highest rating for soft armor. There's a handful of specality slugs, but as a rule shotguns can't defeat armor unless it's IIA.

Anyway buckshot is fine, slugs tend to have more recoil but are absolutely devistating.

This may steer you in the right direction.

From the sounds of it, buckshot has "pellets" inside that spread after firing, therefore increasing your chances of hitting a target.

Slug is a heavy shotgun bullet with one large pellet. Once that hits, gravity and weight will take care of the rest.

This is exactly correct. Necks are squishy, so is someone's trachea, if you squeeze the neck from the sides of it, it will still compress the trachea and mess with airflow.

This is a super basic choke that is in bootcamp. The pocket of the elbow is not compressing the throat from the front, it is the sides that are squeezed. Blood flow is cut off as is air (to an extent). If the target struggles, they will pass out quicker.

So what's everyone's prediction on how this will end?

I'm thinking a blood bath as the rioters get bolder. Was suprised to see then lining up at federal buildings/white house.

We got some, so far peaceful, ones in Denver don't think it will go beyond that but possible.

It's going to end with force, serious force.
This cant go on forever, and if they do start to make their way out to the suburbs of Minneapolis, and start burning houses, and getting into more rural areas, they will be met with more and more armed property owners. In that scenario, no one wins, rioters who got more than they bargained for will be killed, and so will home/business owners who will just be trying to defend their families and livelihoods.
Now, personally, I don't think it will get that far, but, I do think that some form of military intervention will happen, and not just the national guard showing up for looks.
I think there will be a serious, bloody clash between the rioters and the military, obviously the military will prevail, and lives will be lost, but at this point it is nearly inevitable.

On top of that, the only way to prevent this from happening in all of the other major cities where they have planned "protests," is to meat it head on, the split second it gets violent, effectively putting the fire out before there ever is one.
No toying around with just letting them go on looting, no police just looking the other way, just brute force.

To be clear, this isn't the outcome I'm hoping for or want, but at this point, with what we have all seen in the videos/live streams, I think this will be the only way to restore order.
