not too late to go buy one. Just go to any gun shop and tell the guy at the register all this unrest has you scared at home and would like to buy a gun. Don't let them talk you into anything over $500, your best bet is a pump action shotgun preferably and some #1 or #4 buckshot. You should be able to get a Mossberg Maverick 88 for under $200. Maybe buy a few snapcaps/dummy rounds to practice the action or ask if there's a range around. Gun store operators are usually very friendly

Some rushed thoughts while at work...the white "supremacists from out of town" claim won't age well & may backfire. Those arrested have their mug shots & info publicly available & will likely have their social media history gone over by autists.

Also, was there enough time between the fatal arrest incident & the riot for any organizing or out of staters to have traveled?

I've given up on this country, for real. I know things have been retarded for a long while but this, this takes the cake. The entire goddamn cake. The utter madness on display is something I never thought I'd witness on the continent I call home during my lifetime.

Maybe a lot of it is a result of the lockdowns so people are just more insane than usual, but even still. I just feel empty inside witnessing what is happening as we speak.

Even if some businessowner's insurance policy covered damage from civil unrest, it's a very daunting task to collect anything approaching the full replacement value of one's business in the event of some catastrophic destruction or fire. Insurance companies are very combative these days when it comes to fighting off attempted claimants. They wouldn't be able to make a profit if they had to pay out in full every time someone's business got destroyed by nogs or hurricane or electrical fire or whatever.
