So these are the white supremacist rioters the media keeps talking about.

Rioters seem to be bickering with each other tonight what would even happen if this shit turned in on itself? How would the police stop it in time? I don't think they could.
The rioters will eat their own and then it'd fizzle out once there are no survivors left, hopefully.

HE DIDNT STUDY THE BLADE HARD ENOUGH.

And he was white so that probably didn't help either.

I get what you mean, and accelerationist shitposting aside, I have to agree. I almost take solace in this moment because it does feel like society is at a breaking point, and I have this weird naive hope that things have to get really bad before they get good. Truth be told, the shit that's happening now is small potatoes to what was going on in the world 100 years ago. 100 years ago, there was a virus that killed over 50 million, a world war that caused 21 million deaths, and a revolution that invigorated socialist movements worldwide. Not long after, there was a great depression that devastated the worldwide economy, a famine in Ukraine that killed 7-10 million, a civil war in Spain that killed 2 million, and a World War that killed up to 75 million. I don't think we can comprehend that devastation now, and it would only be amplified now if you were plugged in the Internet. And yet, people persevered. And they had great artists too. Shostakovich, Prokofiev, Strauss, Orson Welles, T.S. Eliot, Picasso, Duke Ellington were all within that time period. I certainly wouldn't say that art makes it worth it, but I do think that people who are confronted more with history happening before them, even if an exceptionally gory history, are nonetheless propelled to think deeply about the things in men's souls.

Anyone who likes music and especially older stuff can easily hear how much less creative most music is these days. I don't believe that everything has been done, I just feel like people don't have creative mindsets. What are future generations going to look at from the past 2 decades and admire? Almost none of our output is great. All the interesting culture really seems to be stuff happening in communities that still carry the torch for Web 1.0 mentality, such as 4chan culture or Kiwifarms (this is the last forum I post in anymore). Everything else seems covered in gay rap bad music or superhero shit, or maybe marketed nerd shit like Funko Pops and the new gamer chic image corporate entities have been pushing.
