On a serious note, though, it drives me crazy, too.

They don’t understand that these businesses that are getting looted and burnt down are the things that were keeping these neighborhoods together. They’re places that employed people who lived in and around these neighborhoods, and gave others a reason to visit and spend their money there.

And you’re right, they still won’t get it when these places eventually become shitty food deserts with broken infrastructure and no job prospects besides drug dealing. They’ll just continue to blame it on “systemic racism” or some other cop-out bullshit that means it's someone else's fault. And then they'll demonize everyone who's run out of sympathy for them. It's infuriating.

The fundamental flaw of these anti-racist ideologues is that human nature guarantees that people; regardless of ethnicity, will take full advantage of privileges afforded to them by such a society, ironically creating an oppressive protected class that lord over those they point their fingers at, with the compliance and implication of the State to appease this new ruling class.

Do not be naive and stubborn to believe that anything good will come of this.

Indianapolis should have more stories like this, where someone set a fire and others put it out. https://twitter.com/johnnystir/status/1266931074212474881 It's the only way I'll ever be able to speak to anyone that I find out was there tonight. Bank of Indianapolis was on fire, but some protesters climbed in, got the fire extinguisher, and put it out. I hope they're starting to see who the real enemy is.
