So has the 1990s model of multiculturalism has been a failure? Has colorblindess been a failure? We are seeing a failure of assimilation, a failure to embrace American ideals, rather it is to do your own shit thinking America should accept everything. Will this be sorted out in the future as I have read stuff that post the 1960s immigration overhaul, union membership has gone down, civic participation has gone down, distrust of the system has gone up.

I was just thinking, Jim Crow delayed this shit by a 100 years as assuming if Jim Crow never happened, would America be seeing the same things back then that we see today? Race grifters and baiters were called out in the era of Booker T. Washington meaning those fuckers were there as they are now.

Yes, but in 1968 George Wallace ran a 3rd party campaign on a segregationist ticket, split the Democratic party vote, and won the EC votes of 5 states the Democrats normally won. Nixon didn't exactly cruise into office on his own merits.

It's too early to claim either party is going to benefit from this.

It'd probably be worst if these riots happened 100 or 150 years ago. At least buildings are more fire resistance today. Rioters might have burnt down whole cities with ease.
