It brought back a really strong sense of patriotism/nationalism that America hadn't seen in years or decades. We can see this in the 3rd star wars prequel that captured that 2005 atmosphere.

The 2010s were a return to normal. Racial tensions are part of life in America and they have been for decades. But the 1980-2012 era was an period of low tensions and now we're going back to high tensions. I'm not going to go through the entire 2010s but essentially the early 2010s are marked by a split in the democratic party where the SJW and Woke wing tookover while the late 2010s mark a takeaway by the alt-light and then alt-right wing. The election of Obama caused a huge problem for "the left" Their coalition has the center-left colorblind blinds and the far-left multiculturalism liberals. The 2020s will be an inverse 1970s. In the 1970s the liberals normalized the civil rights narrative. I think the liberals will ultimately fail to normalize this social justice narrative. #1 reason is the demographic change. GOP will be unable to win elections by end of the decade and millions of whites will feel cheated out of a nation.
