What complicates things a bit though is video games and anime/manga, they've tried very hard to ruin video games but I don't think they've done so yet, especially when it comes to Japanese games, Last of Us 2 is a very worrying sign though.
And modern anime/manga is fine, in fact it's an oasis from woke culture, but of course with anything new you can't play pretend that it's the past even when it's something worthwhile.
But I've already checked out of most US media by this point anyway, I've not watched a scripted TV series for example since Dexter ended in 2013 and I've in fact stopped watching TV entirely by this point, no late night talk shows or anything like that, I don't watch any streaming series either.
I do still watch a few modern movies but the number gets less and less as time goes by, I skipped Star Wars Episode 9 entirely.
And there's almost no modern books I give a shit about since the vast majority of them are woke.
I already consume a lot of old media, it's just a question of whether to tip that scale entirely in favor of the old, but I feel like at least Japan will continue to put out worthwhile stuff.
