This might be the most profoundly stupid thing I’ve read since this whole shitshow started.

So MLK, a Christian minister with a doctorate in theology, didn’t really see his crusade for racial equality and justice as his life’s work. No, what he really wanted to do was open up a chain of PepBoys in Mobile.

I had a moment of clarity. I am deeply upset with myself for being happy about all of this, yet I am still happy.... I may need help.

Also sources tell me Facebook is abuzz with plans to "burn down Howell" , a town in the Ann Arbor, MI area. Middle class white place. This could go one of several ways, the most likely of which is literally nothing happens.

Yeah, but he criticized blacks in that episode for their inaction to solve their problems, which isn't inherently a bad thing, but it ended with Huey (who seems to be McGruder's mouthpiece for his political views) fantasizing about the black community fighting the cops in the streets. Still liked that episode and the show as a whole, but nowadays, McGruder's Boondocks comic strips seem to be more indistinguishable from the other BLM type of people.

That requires some context. I don't know the specific calls right now, but I can give the general stereotype.

Howell, notoriously, was the headquarters of the Klan in Michigan for a while. It hasn't been that way for years, but it still has that reputation. Livingston county is 'neck as fuck, being honest, though. So yeah, "Howell" is kind of shorthand for "racism" amongst some circles, whether that's honest or not.
