Police can barely deal with what is going on now and barely any shooting has actually happened that can be considered lethal (despite the few cases where people have been killed it's not a whole lot). Massive looting on Philly. There's some kind of commotion a few blocks away with people shouting and loud metallic bangs. Helicoptors have been shining spotlights all night and sirens are blaring everywhere. Way more than usual for this neck of the woods anyway.
Walgreens locked itself down this morning. Or maybe they never opened. I don't know. SEPTA is shut down until 7 or 8 am. The Ben Franklin bridge is shut down and Center City streets are closed off. But no one gives a fuck about that or Kenny's curfew. No one seems to be obeying it and it's barely being enforced. Someone ran over a cop. He survived with an arm injury. Police vehicles were attacked. Even a SWAT van was chased away.
I saw a stream wth people filling up a truck with stuff outside a TJ Maxx. People running off with multiple Target carts full of stuff. I thought those carts were supposed to be electronically locked to a security grid? Maybe it's a bluff.
I hear a lot of young males of the darker persuasion out and about. I was hoping it would stay in Center City but I guess I was being optimistic.
Fuck these people. All they care about is free stuff. I guess ruining your neighborhood's commerce after it's already suffering due to the Covid-19 lockdowns is totally justified because you got a new TV and all the hair you could carry. We are supposed to enter the yellow phase by the 5th. I hope that the riots don't fuck that up.
I swear my favorite part of the newscast was when they said there were wigs thrown everywhere. Latisha gotta do her hair.

Based on everything Regg saw, I'd guess to scare some high adrenaline cops who might show up into getting violent by tricking them into thinking they might be under fire by an actual weapon.
