ANTIFA / Antifascist Action / Antifaschistische Aktion - The anti-fascist gang with fascist tendencies

The twitter account calling itself OC (Orange County) Antifa pulled a major toneshift today, and started claiming that it has been a gayop for the last three years to infiltrate Antifa and map out its network of thugs and financiers.

Their claims are probably bullshit, but at least it's funny bullshit with funnier implications. Twitter, naturally, suspended the account while leaving every other antifa terrorist account unmolested.

As much as I despise Antifa, declaring them blanketly to be a terrorist organization could have some dreadful implications. No idea how he intends to pull this off or which organizations he would call terrorists apart from the previously mentioned TORCH Network. Likely, nothing will happen and this Tweet will be yet another act of performative bluster by Mr. President, but the prospect of making Antifa potential martyrs could afford them some popular support from more moderate leftists. It would also take some time to separate those crust punk teens who just want the thrill of an edgy political lifestyle but aren't necessarily violent from those Antifa dedicated towards acts of violence.

You can expect to see many more Antifa activists demand all other self-identifying "Antifas" (legit and otherwise) to meet up IRL so they can suss out the provocateurs from the dedicated idealists. Once they can put a foolproof method into practice, these gayops will be much harder to pull off.

It's not much different than the KKK which since the 50s onward since the actual, national Ku Klux Klan dissolved during World War II. It was a bunch of groups which claimed to be the successor to that national Klan but were regional at best. Like how you don't have a group called the "Ku Klan Klan" (since there's dozens of Klans out there), you don't have a group called "Anti-Fascist Action". But you do have plenty of groups like TORCH Network, BAMN, Rose City Antifa, and similar groups which are like your local Klans and actually do exist as groups.

And hell, not every KKK member in the 50s was the sort who showed up at civil rights protests to beat people up or cheered on little black girls being blown up. Senator Robert Byrd was a supporter after all (although he left the Klan in the 40s), and I'd be willing to bet that at the height of the 50s/60s Klan, it was similar to the older national Klan where in some areas it really was a social club for people to make connections in because enough prominent people were members or supporters (like Senator Byrd). Yes, these people were without a doubt racists and spent their time listening to the kleagle rant about uppity niggers, but they didn't join the Klan because they wanted to kill niggers. Even today people who join the Klan join for the same edgy shit because it makes them "real redneckz" or whatever. Antifa is the exact same. You have people who buy the cause and want connections (probably musicians and other artsy types), you have people in Antifa for the edginess of it, and you have people who are hardcore dedicated "kill cops loot businesses".

And let's get real, this is the same sort of shit here. Each and every one of them is complicit with the most violent of them, and yes I'm borrowing their language. The edgy teen in black shouting "fuck da police" is helping the violent thug in black next to him throw firecrackers at people. I'm not saying arrest all these people or that all of them are equal threats, but let's be real, there needs to be a message sent to people like this somehow. The same way to any terrorist group of any belief.

This, but put everyone who has supported ANTIFA on social media in prison to be treated the way they deserve until they learn not to LARP as violent revolutionaries.

On the bright side, they won't be Antifa on the other end. On the down side, many will come out with swastikas and 1488 on their face. The only thing that won't change is the burning desire to smash and loot minority businesses.

This is not everything from the thread, it's just the op videos. There's more shit to archive, but I'm out for now.

Disclaimer: I don't know if the following can be considered on-topic, since it encompasses another country besides the USA.

Meanwhile on twitter, Brazilian antifa followers are having a nuclear meltdown thanks to the flooding of memes and jokes spawned recently.

Youtuber and digital influencer Felipe Neto posted a video a few days ago demanding that everyone should stand up against "fascism". Many users on facebook and twitter started using the "antifascist" flag on their profile pictures, and George Floyd's murder fueled their motivation even further.

Everything was fine for the most part... until people realized that the flag to identify what kind of antifa they are (Such as Antifa artist, Antifa cosplayer and the like) was a good template for memes.

The results were stellar.

Archived link:

There are many more, but it's a sample on the way of how Brazilians and their "zuera" (feijoada speak for milking lolcows) twisted the hueland branch of antifa into a circus.

My optimism levels have skyrocketed.

He doesn't really have the authority to do that unilaterally but the FBI does. "Antifa" isn't even an organizaiton, although things like the Torch Antifa Network, BAMN, etc. are actual organizations that could be designated. At that point, it becomes illegal to provide material support (such as money) to these organizations, and such support can be prosecuted criminally under 18 U.S.C. § 2339A, the material support statute.

The maximum penalty for such support is 15 years in prison, or life if a death results from the acts.

The kicker is that if this happens numerous local, state, and national politicians could be jailed for life for their part in funding various riots since 2016. It would be the biggest and most effective shakeup to the permanent bureaucracy that you could imagine.

The Klan of the early 1960's dominated the rural South. It was a de facto paramilitary with thousands of active members and tens of thousands of supporters.Sure they didn't spend all day plotting but if need be they could mobilise quickly.Think of it as a self defence militia that usually spent its time as a social club for all the rural southern whites but on occassion they took care of 'business'.The FBI through COINTELPRO decimated the Klan. Its always been one of the mysteries of the 1960's.Why didn't the Civil rights movement lead to a far more violent Klan reaction?
Circa 1964 they had enough supporters to start the 2nd Civil War.Plus a sizeable portion of the cops and national guardsmen in the South were at least passive supporters.Yes you had bombings and some shootings but the Klan could have started the next civil war.Yet exactly when the race riots of the 1960's were breaking out Watts,Detroit,Newark etc. the Klan was collapsing.Normally it should have seen it membership skyrocket and it would have launched a full blown race war.The answer largely lies in the FBI.Which decimated the structure of the Klan through COINTELPRO.There's even some irony here. The Klan maintained a very pro law and order stance praising the FBI all the while the feds were subverting it.Funnily enough most FBI agents circa 1964 were not progressive liberals. Most were quite 'racially insensitive' but when they were told 'you either get with the program or get out' or 'this is your shot at special agent in charge' they quickly decimated the Klan.
This avoided a race war which would have made the racial conflicts far more deadly.By decimating the main 'white' militia the authorities were capable of maintaining the 'black' militancy movement somewhat contained in the major cities and not spread too much into rural southern communities. The irony is that all of these militant movements of the 60's students against 'Nam,black power,Klansmen etc didn't realise just how much the authorities were manipulating their actions until very late.I wonder what reaction the main leaders of the 'surviving' Klan had when they finally realised those FBI agents had destroyed their group.By 1974 the Klan was down to its die hard core supporters basically the few full timers they had. This is the biggest 'humor' for all of these movements.J Edgar Hoover old man that he was was actually controlling most of these movements and slowly subverting them from the inside through self destructive policies.Reasoning was simple. As long as they do stupid stuff they'll never find enough supporters to launch an all out assault.Hoover knew that America in the 60's was changing rapidly and the only way to avoid civil war was if all of these militant groups were manipulated into wiping each other out.
This has implications for today. To what extent are these movements actually manipulated by law enforcement into acting in a certain way? This would obviously be classified at this point but a smart observer should at least be open to the possibility of law enforcement manipulating such movements precisely to do certain things.Don't believe everything you see applies.

Put a space after every sentence, FFS. That shit’s brutal to read.

You can't retroactively make something a crime for obvious reasons.

A proper RICO prosecution would turn lower-level people on their financiers, and in the cast of infiltrations into mob groups and the KKK the crimes they got their leaders on were older than those groups' status as targets of interest.

I think this is why it will never happen.
