Let's ignore the fact that segregation is a miserable idea that would result in far more animosity between races than we have right now, the insane logistical issues that segregation carries with it by definition, and the fact that a significant percentage of American's are mixed race. How do you expect to just displace massive amounts of people out of the communities they've lived their entire lives in, sometimes multiple generations? How do you expect to keep professionals employed when you're forcing them out of industry hubs that match their education? How do you draw the borders, and what are the rules to crossing them? They aren't a monolith, but segregation may be what's best for blacks and whites by this point, let's just face the fucking facts.
Maybe human beings simply aren't mentally equipped to live with people that look different than them in large numbers, it's an experiment we've been doing for half a century and look where we've wound up, what do we really stand to gain when we see now how dangerous things can be when they go wrong?
What went wrong with segregation in the old days is it was so unequal, rather than just, ya know, segregated, blacks were purposely made to get the short end of the stick, look at Tulsa Oklahoma almost 100 years ago, the black neighborhood there was prospering and whites destroyed it, that was wrong, it's just a fact that whites treated blacks way more poorly than was necessary in the days of segregation and have had to suffer a hell of a blowback for it.
But now the shoe is on the other foot and it's blacks who are treating whites way more poorly than what is necessary.
Maybe we should try bringing back segregation and making it separate but equal, a phrase that has been demonized but what's really wrong with that? It'd be better than this chaos, wouldn't it?
Look, sometimes life gives you tough choices, it may be a matter of we choose either segregation or there has to be a war where one side wipes out the other in which case the good blacks will suffer alongside the bad ones, what is the lesser of two evils here?
Segregation brings an absolutely enormous host of problems along with it, and does next to nothing to solving any current racial issues. It's the worst possible "solution" to the current tensions in America.
