I just caught a peek of today's L.A.-centric news and the business-related stuff about Saturday's looting is just heartbreaking. A business owner on Melrose was interviewed whilst cleaning his store and said that he doesn't have insurance since premiums are high and was 2 months behind on rent due to the pandemic, there's a good chance he'll have to close up shop and move elsewhere. I also got a text from the store owner of a shop I visited regularly before the 'rona hit, they thankfully weren't looted but a LOT of the business on that block are reconsidering opening up due to these riots.
