Exactly this. People don't understand the full dimensions of the situation we're entering into. Don't join a suspicious looking "activist" group that glows in the dark. Find (or form) organizations of local people or people you know personally and prepare. Stay off the radar, try not to start shit, and follow the law when you can, but be ready to do what it takes when SHTF in your area.

I have an LMT 7.62x51 MWS with a Trijicon optic that I am leaving home because it doesn't take a standard AR15 magazine. Instead it's a Daniel Defense M4 varient with a 1-6 optic because that allows a compromise for capacity, weight, and compatibility, with the trade off of not putting massive holes in people.

Pretty disgusted by "my fellow" americans that I have to prepare for the very real possibility of having to defend myself and my family from them. Dark days.

The DC video of them going into the house really bothered me more than anything else this past week. I guess because it's at home and not in some third-world hellhole anymore. I worked very hard and did a lot of bad shit to people so my family would never have to see this.

How can I ever look my children in the eye and say that these people are their equals?
