So, you know when I said that these riots weren't nearly as bad as some of the Golden Oldies.... well we are getting close to the LA riots in terms of death, and I have no idea on the property damages side of things. Let's just hope that it doesn't get to 1968 levels.

For those of you who live in Blue States and are just now thinking about getting a gun, you will probably have to go though a "waiting period" to get your firearms. So, you may want to go ahead and move on it now instead of waiting until it gets really bad. Get to know your local gun laws. I know most would rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6, but going to jail for something preventable it not a good way of doing business.

It looks like this is going to be a bumpy ride, but we will make it through this. So don't go do something stupid, like starting a one man crusade against against the looters and communists. It won't help. It never helps.

About 500 pages ago, it was suggested that many insurance policies won't pay out for property damage and/or theft sustained as a result of civil unrest.

And even if they do, their premiums will prolly shoot up so high they won't be able to afford staying in business.

That's assuming a policyholder is fortunate enough to be covered for damage caused as a result of this event. Again, depending on policy and insurer.

This is something I have thought about before, but the question for me has always been "who will be our Franco?" Large sections of the Spanish military and (crucially) the Spanish officer corps/military brass were very politicized by the time Franco stormed in from the Canary Islands and kicked things off. The other key element that exacerbated the civil war was foreign intervention, with heavy support from Mussolini and Hitler playing a decisive role in ensuring Nationalist victory over the Soviet-backed Republicans. It is interesting to think about which foreign actors would intervene in Civil War 2.0, and which side each would be on. Would Russia and China be on the same side, or would they both try to play both sides? How would Israel get involved? Would the Saudis have a role?

First war where aerial carpet bombings was invented. I believe it was called guernica and Picasso made a mural about. Won't be surprised though if some degenerate painted BLM on it some day. Hitler's luffwaffe invented that shit and in the end get btfo out by it when the Lancaster Mark IV and B-17 flying fortress were invented.

Working in logistics currently and everything is fucking late all the time, if it shows up the same day at all. Probably depends where you live though too.

Speaking as someone who works in manufacturing/logistics. Supply chain is still getting fucked by Corona. A good deal of our plants are running with as little as 40% staff because of the kiss of corona chan. With this latest bullshit we've had tractor trailers stolen and all the product on them stolen. Don't expect to see stuff come on time. Expect to see certain things out of stock for a long time.

No lie; for California at least; we got the 1st Marines at Pendleton (Los Angeles), we got the 3rd Air Wing at Miramar (San Diego), the Navy and Coast Guard at every fucking inch of coastline. Seattle has Whidbey Island, Chicago has Great Lakes, the entire DC Coastal Area is one big military complex. If they want to, all they need to do is give the word and you'll see the kind of shit people will write books about well into the future.
