Probably very late since this thread is rapidly closing in on 1200 pages but has this shit show bumped guns higher up anyone else's list of purchases?
I'm considering going to look at shotguns at the shop near work on my lunch break or on my way home and have a friend who I'm seeing Saturday who was selling a handgun last time I saw him. Will definitely be asking if that's still available.
My city has been pretty quiet about all of this but I live in a neighborhood pretty close to the ghetto so if shit does go down I'd have a lot more peace of mind.
Better get, while there's still getting to be got.
I live in a state that's blessedly red, and in a county that'll happily vanish wayward looters & vandals. Everyone knows this, and thus everyone is being extra polite.
The supply of guns here was never an issue, even during the depths of the worst recent panic buying. Yet the shelves here are empty, and not because they're being pulled to keep them safe. The backlog of checks & incoming online orders is insane.
If all the guns are being bought up in places like this, that should tell y'all it's long past time to arm up.
Edit:
There's a lot of first-time buyers showing up & calling from the city, who'd have never in their lives ventured this far into the hills, due to the reputation of this county alone. But they're finding that the only places they can still find guns, are the places they've been told for years were don't-let-the-sun-set-on-you. It's resulting in a lot of poor black folk with institutional racism being freedom pilled pretty hard, and it's certainly heartening to see.
