The human leg is full of all kinds of shit.

It isn't like the movies, where the hero takes a hit to the leg and keeps on running.

Now, you can get lucky and have a through and through that misses everything and just puts a hole through, where the round doesn't mushroom out or tumble (Older AR's) or clip off the bone.

But, a lot of times, the human brain is wired for "the middle", meaning... BLAM! Dead center.

High powered weapon? That bone shatters. And there's a blood pipe as thick as your thumb in the inside of your leg that's a little sensitive to getting bone chips through it.

Even if it DOES just hit meat, you can be left with a slight limp and nerve pain the rest of your life.

I know dudes who took a round to the leg at 19 and now at 30 they still limp.

Biden's just as stupid as his supporters.

Mfw even I, not really a gun person but am strongly pro Second Amendment, knows enough about guns and law enforcement that:
A- limbs are moving, smaller targets than the torso, so you have a difficult time in hitting them (plus you may hit an innocent/get attacked before you land a shot) and
B- someone who wants you or themselves dead won't let a wounded leg or arm stop them.

Edit: also already stated but the femoral artery is one of the main blood vessels which is located near the femur that, if it gets hit, you're going to bleed out in less than 2 minutes.

I'm honestly fucking baffled that Biden didn't just say "Oh no police stop shooting" but in a specific situation where someone has a fucking knife, where they are fucking armed, that he decides to try to get fucking squeamish about shooting.

It's one thing if a dude has a knife out but isn't advancing, in which case sure de-escalate if possible. But its not what he was talking about.

This is fucking insane and genuinely dangerous as a suggestion.
