I think that's true of this situation as well. Consider that ANTIFA, BLM, and their hangers-on have irreparably damaged their 'movement' and it's legitimacy in the view of most of the public. Recall that the Internet is not necessarily representative of reality, especially Twitter and Reddit, which have been leftist hiveminds and communities of self-hating white 'activists' for quite a while now. Consider that the corporations spouting this bullshit are only doing so because they feel it will appeal to their core demographic, and their target audience will not realize that they're being played by some Jew in the marketing department at Nickelodeon or Sony. The celebrities are doing the same because most of them are trying desperately to cling to relevancy in the post-COVID landscape. Speaking of which, COVID may very well do a good amount of the legwork as far as punishing the agitators. At the very least we'll see if that lethality rate was ever really anything worth worrying about in the first place.
Bad optics abound for these people, and it is only going to get worse for them as they continue to totally miss the fucking point due to cognitive dissonance and straight up hardheaded ignorance. We're already seeing some attempt to distance themselves from it, they're really starting to grasp at straws to try and uphold that 'right side of history' bullshit they've been on about for years at this point.
Call me optimistic if you want, it might be true and I'm probably wrong. But the events that have transpired for the past week or so have dealt a very heavy blow to leftist thought, their worldview, and the 'social justice' movement and community. Most normal people, whether left or right, do not enjoy watching their nation burn, no matter what the Twitter consensus is. A lot of people are going to be choking on that redpill in the days to come, but it's a potent one. Give it some time and the pendulum will swing back.
