I can't really tell. Either way, if these were White People I often wonder what the reaction would be. However not only are they not, it wasn't a protestor, it wasn't a thug, it was a random black guy in his car, that was targeted by Browns fearing for their neighborhood based on his skin color. Minnesota's third degree murder charge is evolved from similar and little used charge called depraved heart murder. I am no lawfag. The driver of the van when Freddie Grey died was charged with DHM and got off along with all the other officers involved who were charged with lesser crimes. There are no guarantees with a jury and it looks like there were mitigating circumstances regarding Floyd's death. They will be swayed by the most compelling evidence as they see it. There have already been articles written about how a conviction is looking sketchy. @Mola Ram remarked that it seems like they're practically begging Chauvin to plead to manslaughter and I agree.
