so many blacks being hoodrat criminals hasn't always been the case. until like 50 to 60 years ago, most blacks had functional families that were self-sufficient and productive. since then, things got worse. but im pretty sure blacks didnt magically lose a bunch of iq points over that time period, so that can't be the real problem here.

My counter to this is that TV in the 50s and 60s was very controlled, movies were controlled, like virtually all the white people you saw were middle class or slightly down-on-their-luck working class.

And one of the things that fucks us up as far as understanding history is that seeing really busted people in acting roles even to this day is really rare.

Oz, Call The Midwife, The Wire... all of them are about the lower classes but they're all made for woke purposes and none of them are ever going to show a Rachel Jeantel either physically or mentally.
