It's really fucking annoying that it's in this weird limbo. It's fucking boring and I wish the powder keg would properly explode. It's sad that the feds are being so pussyfoot about this terrorism.
It's not really pussyfooted. You just can't go in half cocked.
First, you have to make sure a vast majority support it. Then you have to make sure you are properly stocked, in place and with a plan. The optics of it are extremely jarring so it has to be at the right time.
I understand people wanting to just go balls to the wall and have Trump send the military in/Insurrection act the shit out of everywhere, but I don't think people realise how serious that act actually is.
Especially when you're a President who actively has the opposition, the media and corporations acting against you - Trump's presidency has been plagued by coup attempt after coup attempt from the left. This isn't business as usual, in the sense of being able to do it and have a media on side framing it as "needed".
I mean look at this NYT article -
What is the Insurrection Act?

This is an excerpt ;
Kent Greenfield, a constitutional law professor at Boston College, told The Associated Press that, in Mr. Trump’s case — and unlike the clashes over school desegregation — there was no allegation that states were refusing to enforce federal law.
“He is not saying that the laws aren’t being enforced,” Mr. Greenfield said of the president. “He is saying they’re not being enforced the way he wants them to be enforced.”

Although the president does not need a request from a state to use federal armed forces for domestic law enforcement under the Insurrection Act, some experts do not believe the current circumstances justify such a deployment without the agreement of the state governor or legislature.
This is the autistic bullshit con-job the left will pull. This is why it's such a hard thing to pull the pin on. This isn't as simplistic as people wish. He's literally hobbled by the left, the Democrats and by the very laws that are in place to protect the US.
Whatever he does, he's going to have people doing something autistic. He brings in the military and the media will jump up and down about how Trump is heading a "Military Dictatorship". He'll have federal court challenges from the autists on the left.
He does nothing and whilst some dumbasses who don't learn about their own countries laws will shriek about him being too soft, the pay off is that he can say that the Democrats didn't do shit to contain the damage done to their own states.
What do you choose? He's going to probably have to go a half-half approach until it gets extremely bad.
It's not extremely bad atm. Despite what basement dwelling tards who don't know their own Constitution think.
