Also if you're just starting out, I recommend playing a tank for your first class/job (Marauder/Warrior or Gladiator/Paladin) since the queues for the story dungeons and boss fights are much shorter if you're doing them as tank. Gladiator/Paladin is technically the most meta tank right now so if you want to be leveling something to actively play in endgame, you should probably go with that.

I'm actually already a tank, I've been levelling a Gladiator/PLD to 37 and I got Marauder to 10, and I think I'm gonna go Gunbreaker once I reach the requirements. I'm playing on Mateus because I heard its the most community-centered server for NA, and I hope I can find a cute autistic shut-in healer gf a kind community with the kinds of people I can hang with for years to come. Online interactions are a lot easier for me on the whole.
