Do they even know that African Americans are on average 20% White themselves (also 5% Native and "only" 75% Black) and directly descended from their own slaveholders?

I have a simmering, bubbling sensation that today being the mid-point of the week drawing closer to more and more states trying to open up, there's going to be a heftier amount of folks gettin' well and truly tired of this shit - and of the line between protester and rioter getting blurrier and blurrier as the nonviolent folks begin to wash out and seek trendier avenues for attention.

I think it's a bit of both. This shit has been too "turn key" to have been pure opportunism. "Antifa" is pretty scattered with no true top end, but they seem to have some centralized funding, and with that comes "suggestions".

I agree people saw an opportunity and rolled with it, but I think they had plans of action at the ready for when that opportunity came.

I wasted far too many years of my life on cognitive dissonance trying to understand why "everyone" believes these nonsense words and their brains are programmed to turn off once the word is mentioned. As much as I hate to use the word, it's mass gaslighting and it sucks. The best solution is: do not engage. If they have power over you, cuck out and agree with whatever they say. If they don't, don't argue, don't engage -- that's for people you respect, and engaging legitimizes their nonsense as a valid position to hold. If you must: Highlight contradictions, ask questions, and disengage once the programming kicks in.

This definition is nearly universal in the educational and corporate environment of the US coastal states, at least in terms of what you can get away with saying. Who knows what people actually believe. The goal isn't to change what you believe, it's to keep you from organizing, and it seems to be working. To reverse that trend would require something drastic -- completely defunding academia, purging most of corporate America -- realistically, we're stuck with it.

At pretty much any university in the US, you're more likely to be fired for questioning that claim than they are for making it. Even if they say something completely insane that the University has to disavow, 'muh tenure' is a rule for them but not for you.

Morning everyone. Peace has come to my neighborhood, because the protests moved to the south side. Apparently tear gas was used and people wanting to cross the bridge over from south side to Downtown were pushed back.

Read about the puppy. Furious. Reminds me of our black neighbors who bought a pit pup a few years ago, and neglected the poor thing. She was outside 24/7, no water, living in her own feces, just awful. Fuckers wouldn't even PET her when they walked past her on her chain. My roomie told me I was "obsessed" with the dog (poor little bean out there crying all day!) and leave it alone. I called animal control that very same day, and they took her. I even told the neighbors I did it. Fuck 'em. Never have seen an animal in their possession since. They're cool with me, meaning we're civil, but they know.

Almost all groups in the US oppose having their neighborhoods looted, especially when its done by outsiders. Blacks have been pretty tolerant of it, unless if the first person to smash a window is white, in which case they all the surrounding blacks claim victimhood. Of course when its blacks smashing windows and the person calling for peace is white, they try to kill that guy.
That being said, the Dominican Republic borders with Haiti, and the Dominicans redid their constitution just so they could legally deport all haitians based on race, regardless of citizenship. There was outcry that this would only effect blacks, but honestly I can't tell the difference between the Haitians and the soldiers deporting them.

Mexico has a lot of darker-skinned mestizos, but DR is full of people who are straight-up black.
