I mean, I'm from the land of indecision and "retranca" (Galicia). I'm just surprised than given the stupidity of recent events in Madrid nobody went full riot there.
Also, the Civil Guard has judicial competencies when they design them to do so, afaik. It would be better for judicial independence, specially now that we have a shitshow and we can't tell if the removed CG should have been removed because of the leaks. Why? Because Marlaska wasn't transparent from the very beginning. But that's Spain on a nutshell.
Going back to the main topic, any significant changes? I'm a bit busy these days and I can't just keep up with the thread. Thanks in advance.
Judician independence just needs to happen already.
As for that guy. Honestly. Now it seems he might have, which I'm still kind of OK with because the 8M civil guard bullshit is flagrantly, well, BULLSHIT, and it's not even the first time that asshole pulls that one, he actually has a long and storied history of fucking with judicial papers for politics.
But aside from that, during Vox's cazeroladas, he first had to be told by the GRS that they wouldn't intervene after he tried to send an
Assault rifle wielding elite unit against the protestors and later he actually called upon
armed vehicles to "deterr" the protestors. So honestly. After THAT. He needed fucking out. Like you can't just keep as a police chief the guy that had to be repeatedly told by his subordinates that no, they would not actually roll the tanks against a buncha snobs banging caseroles just 'cause he has a giant hardon for overkill.
I mean really I have no sympathy for the caseroles. Never liked Escraches no matter who did them. But maybe rolling the tanks to censor a peaceful protest is, you know, not the best idea.
But yeah judicial independence and in general separation of powers just... it needs to happen already. Spain has too much to clean.
As for madrid. Honestly, what is happening is fucking retarded, yeah, but I lived there in the past and let me tell you... If they managed to survive Esperanza Aguirrez's level of complete, utter and undiluted corruption, Ayuso isn't really that much. And Salamanca is the
extremely rich and snobby part of madrid. They always hated lefties, that's why they bang caseroles. But precisely because of that they were always noisy, never dangerous. It's like an entire town of 90s era puritans. They won't riot, too much to loose, and too many poor people that would LOVE to answer in kind if they initiated violence, and they know it.
What really makes me think there'll be actual terrorism is the Los Pascuales situation here in Cadiz, with the Junta privatising 15 specialties and sending them to
one of the most corrupt clans in spanish history, the marea blanca already made threats of violence in Jerez and I for one am at the point where I would actually would support whoever had the balls to murder that family. They have a LONG trackrecord of criminal and underhanded behavior. But at least for now noone's got the balls to do it. I explained further on the Wuhan thread.
As for general thread. No real relevant news yet it seems really.
