At this point they really should just let the rioters burn their own shit to the ground. Whether the police are there or not doesn't matter, and even if they so much as try to tell a "protestor" to leave they get a death threat from the people who called them a week ago for help.

I can safely say at this point I'm not going to be bothered if some shithole "vote blue or die" city like Seattle or NY is a pile of rubble. Obviously I feel bad for the people that live there (and aren't rioting), but at this point the only thing that will satiate these lunatics is if they destroy everything they have.

Put military, the real military or these handicapped NG units, in places to protect the monuments and museums. Refuse to punish the armed populace that protect themselves when they show up in the burbs, and the second these roaches start to get shot in a decent number by people who respect their life more than the looters do their property the riots will stop.

Because all the other "Cop kills black man" stories either happened before the internet or had extra evidence come out that portrayed the cops in a better light, while Chauvin looks like a goddamn psycho even to us.

I've seen quite a few people mention this rifle in here, I know it sort of looks like a .50 Barrett of some type, but I'm pretty sure it's an Accuracy International, probably a .308. If you are unfamiliar with AI, they generally make rifles for the UK military. Most famously known for their Arctic Warfare Magnum (AWM) for all the old CS players this is the same as the AWP (valve I believe changed all the real weapon names when they officially released CS as a retail box).

I've been exposed to these in Afghanistan, so it's possible a designated marksman or sniper that deployed would have seen and used these as well, coming back stateside to be a swat sniper, you would have a choice in what you use (as most specialized units allow a fair amount of weapon system freedom).

I could be wrong, but knee jerk that's what I thought it was. I highly doubt it's a .50, although it's hard to tell, but the magazine is too small for a .50 round.

It's a .300WIN 700 Rem in an AI chassis as you noted. That picture was posted earlier with context. The guy is USSS. He's a member of the their counter sniper teams.

Yeah, I definitely thought he was SS but with the Police shirt on, I left it open he could have been DC Swat, if they even have a team. Granted I don't think SS would deploy a Swat marksman when having these guys around the President is a pretty big schtick for them. Still the possibility was there.
