Guys, you can't arrest someone if they're hyperventilating:

Being against racism in general (which you can't end unless you somehow police thoughts) means the list of grievances and demands can never really be checked off. It's an industry and it makes a lot of people a lot of money.
Ending racial prejudice is like ending sexual preference, in that the same people think you can do both (delusional twitter trannies).

Yeah, people have forgotten what it's like to have to live with themselves. To think we'd become this pathetic.

It reminds me of the story from Oakland of Mario Toliver. 14 year old kid who shot and killed his 17 year old sister.

Not only did the sister have a kid, but the 14 year old did too, and the 14 year old's baby mama was 11 when he knocked her up.

Total depravity.

Freedom, liberty and self-determination had a pretty decent run... and I'm happy to have lived during some of the good years... But we clearly don't deserve nice things as a species. At this point I'm perfectly fine with the inevitable cleansing of the West by Islam.

Well words are violence after all. Jeeze.

I'm suspecting this is some sort of controlled operation, and that antifa being declared terrorists means that they will work the group and get to the command and control layer and knock that out.

Just from public info, it seems like there is more here than simple 'yay free stuff' looting and rioting, this has gone WAY past protesting police excessive force (which DOES appear to be valid).

Who flew in outside 'protesters' into Minneapolis, who paid for lodging, where'd the 'radios' come from, etc.

It's not all of the 'protesters/looters/rioters' probably less than 10% the others are just more useful idiots.

Speculation, but we'll find out more as time goes on.

Did the cops overreact? It sure looks like it. Do we need to reverse some of the militarization that police have 'adopted'? I think so. Are recent events a direct result of the cops excessive force? Doubtful, it's more an excuse at this point.
Controlled opposition implies that whoever is staging them is right wing, which I disagree with....Too much of an opportunity to backfire. I'd say some outside actor or just the fucking commies (Antifa, BAMN, BLM)

I’m hoping nobody tells BLM they’re advocating for segregation with the whole “get the police out” demand.

I’m not even opposed to the experiment. Give the blacktivists (and maybe the white liberal handlers as well) their own “exclusive gated community” with no policing, Whole Foods, 2 or 3 banks, a gym, office buildings, and give everybody $5,000 in cash. Let’s see how it’s going after 6 months.

I think the guy who blew up an ATM (and died) is a good initial case study.

If America at this rate makes it to the 1950s intact without a mass insurgency or starting to see its military power start to heavily decline, I will be heavily surprised. The NERO meme tucker quoted is about to become a reality as we have a 1000 NEROs everywhere living in another reality. When enforcing the law itself is considered a problem, society starts to crumble and we seeing it now. When the rich support something, its something suspicious to look at except the rich are also imbeciles who start fires that eventually consumes them as well or their children.
its just you said "we all know what happens 30 yearss after the 20s" and i didn't know what the fuck you were on about. i'd expect this to be a really terrible decade. like 1910s russia bad. we'll be lucky to reach the end of this year before it all goes to shit

How would a parent counter this stuff, especially given all the rhetoric around "oldtimers no bellyfeel ingsoc"? Do you provide your kid with actual history curriculum, try to focus on finding contradictions and obvious lies in the official material, discuss the motivations and politics of rewriting american mythology? Fuck, I'm gonna have to deal with this in a few years...
In an adolescent male, interest in WWII video games can easily lead into the complexities and peculiarities of 20th century history, especially with so much information so close at hand for the curious. A lot falls between the cracks. For a random example, the Winter War and the Continuation War are very much both heroic and tragic stories of a small nation defending itself against a larger aggressor, but in ways that don't align with the coloring book view of history.

For all their flaws, the works of Will Durant aren't too bad to start with, if one wants a broader view of western history.

EDIT: Speling

The funny thing about all these morons trying to claim Union generals and such don't even realize that the Union generals would be both defending the character of Robert E. Lee and many of the other Southern generals and having their soldiers put the rioters and looters down with bayonets and musket fire. The level of historical ignorance infuriates me like nothing else.

So this bullshit is possibly going to hit where my grandparents live. This town was mentioned earlier in this thread. I'm gonna drive all the way down from up north early morning and take them out of the area for the day incase shit starts so they're safe.
