I took a break from posting here because after my wife said to me "No one is asking for you to be sorry for being white," I thought I might be getting tunnel visioned here. I took the opportunity to check out NPR, CNN, MSNBC, Fox, and the New Yorker -- because I'm not afraid of facing the 10% of wisdom that's embedded in 90% bullshit, and thought it might be right and differently-opinionated or even challenging and eye-opening.

NPR thinks no one should care about the coronavirus because to do so would insinuate that black lives are less important than something, namely the spread of a pandemic (that's disproportionately killing black people, ironically), and to admit that isn't politically correct. On-the-ground interviews showcase the opinion of a batshit insane person who when asked what she heard when Trump said he wants to be a "law and order president": "that he wants to kill more black children."
CNN has Joe Biden parading as a moral figure by criticizing Trump for holding up a Bible, saying "I just wish he would open it from time to time."
MSNBC will tell you that the national guard flew a military helicopter at low altitudes as if to intimidate peaceful protesters, but the wont' tell you (when they know) that it had a medic insignia on it. They'll excuse the riots and not take the opportunity to draw parallels between the senseless violence of them and the treatment of black people, all because a majority of the protests are peaceful.
Fox is Fox and is basically wants to make it clear the NG didn't use tear gas on peaceful protesters so Trump could get his bible profile pic, and is highlighting the Senate hearing regarding Russia so they can try to skewer Joe Biden.

And then I get to The New Yorker and read an article that's an interview with one of the founders of the BLM movement, and I realize the following things:
- she is a warmonger
- she believes social workers are a valid substitute for police officers
- she chooses to not condemn the violence of the riots when given the opportunity even after supplied with critical commentary from other BLM movement members
- she cannot identify any wrongdoing on the part of violent rioters and looters because of a categorical difference between life and property
- EDIT: I forgot to add, concern for possibly exponentializing COVID is brushed off: "they can wear masks"

Because the black folks / protesters will not be happy unless he gets the death penalty. So, he knows the chimpouts are coming no matter what. It will look much better if you can get him acquitted so they have a legitimate reason to riot/loot again.

I've seen way worse. Being a drug addict doesn't mean your life has to end. We can joke about blacks and crack all we want, but drug addiction is a serious disease that transcends race.

Honestly yeah I think some tweet went: "Breng umbulla 2 protest" and a bunch of people went "lol ok". Antifa probably noticed they kept getting made for carrying umbrellas.
