U.S. Riots of May 2020 over George Floyd and others - ITT: a bunch of faggots butthurt about worthless internet stickers

Like most kiwis, I am horrified over the death of George Floyd.

Like many kiwis, I am horrified over the riots that followed.

I've watched cities burn, along with unimaginable acts of looting and violence.

But I felt mostly safe, as a voyeur from afar.

Then a sick twist of irony struck. George Floyd is to be buried in a cemetery less than 2 miles from my house.

Sure, it's a private service, but the addresses are all over the news.

The police station is across the street from the cemetery. The fuck do you think all these out-of-state joggers are gonna do after the burial?

IS MY WHITE PRIVILEGE SHOWING YET?

Should a President just let cities burn over politics? People who believe the antifa narrative hate him anyway...why try to appeal to them? More whites (the only demographic that can be counted on to vote for Trump, don't let anyone tell you different) that hate their current rulers exist in those cities than you think. I know from living in urban NJ myself.

Dems will call him a fascist anyway (don't threaten me with a good time!). If anything, restoring order will gain him more working-class white voters.

I actually think Trump is playing this about as well as can be expected. He isn't letting any city burn, it's the mayors (holding back local police) and governors (refusing to call in the national guard) that are doing that. This will never spill into the suburds, as even the rioters are smart enough to not tempt the dozens of handguns and ARs and shotguns in every residential subdivision. The Trump base is safe either way... and the damage is squarely on local / state politicians who have the power to act and did not.

Travis AFB, CA update

Guns, Fishing and Other Stuff near the base (just off of Butcher Road) just had 75 guns looted and only 13 so far have been returned. Most of the base is only bordered by a flimsy chain-link fence with sparse barbed wire on top that can be foiled with any outdoor or car floor mat. I still think that even the idiots who would do that kind of shit are at least smart enough to avoid a fucking military installation, but who really knows? There's multiple miles of absolutely nothing but fields of cows between us and anything nearby, so we've still got that going for us. Getting a vehicle on base without gate clearance is also iffy to put it mildly.

Protip for my fellow home-defense shotgun Kiwis: put chili oil into your birdshot rounds beforehand as more effective warning shots before the buckshot. Rocksalt is also popular for custom rounds for the same reason. One chili-bird or salt, the rest buck.

rip bro. invite me to your funeral

Are suburbs not connected to major cities and not a hair's breadth away from invasion by looters? Suburbanites definitely don't have a NIMBY attitude towards looting right now, I'll tell you that.

Anecdotal, but living in one of those suburbs, I can confirm that local police and the city have set a curfew and folks aren't fucking around.

Yeah, but they have guns or at least are able to have guns if they aren't in a cucked state/region, which most of these protests are occurring in. There's a reason South Florida's protests aren't nearly as bad as those of California, Chicago, DC and New York.

i dont understand what is happening here
he pops her balloon, is that it? why does that trigger autistic screeching?
She was coached to overreact. They tried to provoke a reaction from the cop, then when the balloon popped they tried to act like it hit her eye (when the video clearly shows it didn't).

This is the biggest reason I think people who bring their children to protests should be arrested and charged with child abuse. They're exposing kids to legitimate potential risk by having them present at all, and then they use them as pawns to try to make the other side look bad.
