Have a go bag in case you need to leave in a hurry. Full change of clothes, hygiene kit, first aid kit, knife, flashlight, food, water, whatever you think you'll need if shit goes down and you need to bug out.

Have a firearm to defend yourself. Know how to use and maintain it. Stockpile ammo if you can.

A not guilty verdict, another police-related killing, a second wave of WuFlu, migrations from natural disasters (earthquake, hurricane), the november elections, or some combo of the above could reignite these coordinated attacks. the problem isn't the riots/civil unrest, it's already coming because the meatpackers are all dropping like flies from being forced to work without gear, the usual fruit and veg pickers can't get into the US, and farmers are unable to get enough manpower to distribute. this was all happening before this riot shit and will start affecting stores in a month or two.

if you live in a downtown/urban area you might see some cops at your door, get evacuated, etc but so far any looting is business related. there are always crimes of opportunity but I don't fear that. the police telling you to GTFO your house is possible though so urban people need a BOB.

if you're suburban or rural and have a home defense weapon it'll be fine. (as far as the protests and stuff) but there's storm season coming on, so stocking a basement or safe place is getting more important.

having a garden, connections to local butcher or farmers, these are going to be life or death this winter though. the wave of covid right now is from all the reopening shit. it's going to hit double in a week or two after all this crowd action. we were already in for a second wave just from the DUR ECKONOMIE shit but this will push it over the top.

food is gonna get scarce.

Glad to see they upgraded that charge. It's at least 2nd degree murder and it'll calm a lot down once the others get arrested. I don't think protests are going to stop soon at all, but the more electric intensity will likely be gone once they've done that.

I agree pretty much entirely, although I do think atheists can quite easily form their own good set of morals and principles, the average dumbass isn't going to put in the effort to think that deeply and most of them won't do it just to be contrarian. Religion was a structure, it was a rubric basically or a framework for living. Now religion has been replaced with the new religion of leftism, and given how cult-like it's adherents are, I would call it a religion. Not only that, but religion also provided community. You'd meet the people in your neighborhood, chances are you had something in common. But now that most churches have been subverted, actual adherents of that religion end up church-hopping to try and find one they like, which is a difficult task. It's been so warped and distorted that you can't even escape from it in church. As a result of that loss of structure and community, people are rejecting morals and traditions.

It's possible, the media certainly did quite a lot to make those folks look stupid all throughout the 80s Satanic Panic and the 90s moral crusades against video games and black trenchcoats. As annoying as those people could be at times, I'd take them any day over the Nu-Think Cult. When the Christian Right fell it left a massive void. I know quite a lot of people who entered that edgy "I'm not going to church anymore, dad, I'm an atheist and you can't make me!" euphoric atheist phase and never quite made it out. Hell, Reddit is crawling with that particular brand of stupid arrested development fucks.

The Christian Right is pretty much long gone, having aged mostly to irrelevancy, but a lot of these people still behave like it exists and they're still rebelling against people who don't give a shit anymore. The backlash against their parents in the 80s and 90s, even the early 2000s, has turned into the unbridled degeneracy we see today.
