Or it was going to happen anyway because they usually just charge someone with enough to hold them, then add more when it's time for actual charging. Maybe chimping out and screaming I WANT IT NOWWWWWW had nothing to do with it.

The argument that religion is a civilizing influence in society is easily discredited by the observation that the most peaceful and law abiding societies tend to also be the least religious ones. The problem in America isn't a lack of religion; the problem ultimately comes down to disaffection with the status quo, coupled with a breakdown in social cohesion, and the system's inability to restore it.

But that's what morals are, right? They're just opinions. Even with religious texts, someone had an opinion, wrote it down, and claimed it as truth. I dunno if they ever really talked to God or if the stories are meant to be metaphorical, but, I've never been decisive to begin with.

Western atheists are just anti-christians.
If they were what they said they were, where's the critique of Christianity's relatives, Judaism and Islam? How about the other religions like buddists/Hinduism and such?
For being against the concept religion and science is all, they sure have no balls to go after other religions. Where's the debate with an imam or rabbi? There were some but small compared to debating with christians. How pathetic.

Rioting had literally zero to do with these charges.

BUT if lying to themselves and believing it did gets them to stop burning down people’s livelihoods and go the fuck home, ok.
