George Floyd's family has gotten about 20 million in total so far. Does this set a precedent? Are celebrities going to have to donate millions for each black person who is killed by the cops in iffy situations in the future? Are black people going to demand these kinds of payments?
I can just see people raising hell online, saying stuff like, "George Floyd's family got paid. Why is my dead brother less important? Why do you hate black people?"

What would you like to back up my claims? Copies of emails to and from the Urbandale Middle School principal confirming the children were punished after admitting to what they did? Emails from the counselor telling me they found my daughter crying and hiding in the bathroom because she was repeatedly called a n*$%er due to her wearing her hear down when she normally wears braids and being called a n#$&ER throughout the day and people saying she looked like a tree because she is brown on the bottom and a bush on top and ugly so many times by so many different students that she didn't feel comfortable entering the lunch room? A copy of the police report from when a caucasian man at Family Dollar called me an N*&&er lover and told me I should be hanged and then proceeded to scream N#(*$er baby in my 6 year old's face to the point the Family Dollar employee tried to kick him out of the store and he wouldn't leave or let me leave and the cops came? My children are 4.0 students in middle and high school (the one in elementary is also quite good in school but they don't use letter grades) They are in show choir, marching band, concert band, basketball, volleyball, and track. They work hard and are kind to everyone. I am not just saying that because I am their mother, I have plenty of people and teachers that would tell you the same. Please let me know what else there could be to the story. I can't name the times I've cried myself to sleep over not being able to fix things for them. This is just the tip of the iceberg. I pray that no one you know ever endures this and has someone question their credibility. I truly wish I was lying. It would make my entire life if I could say it wasn't true.

You're right, I missed the part about going to businesses. I think I got so used to reading about celebrities donating to bail funds or an already growing family fund that pre-MATI kicked in. I agree, can't knock that.
